The Xbox worms games have nothing on the 2nd gen 2D PC worms games. The good worms games: Worms 2, Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party on the PC. The controls worked really well, the complete customisation available and the attention to detail in the weapon selection and landscapes were fantastic, these arcade worms are not a patch on them.

Great game, all the fun I remember from the PC version back in the 90's and enough customization for replay value. I'm sure they'll add some DLC too for people who want more!

i was severely in love with this game when it first came out, but my opinions have changed since then. First off, speech is WAY too repetitive. You will often here the same lines repeated 10-15 times in a single match. Another problem is you can't create landscapes like you could in Open Warfare 2. Single-player is mildly entertaining but nothing special. It's a fun game, but it will grow stale after a while. Expand

Great game I have played most of the worms games and i must say this is one of better ones. I mean there is always room for improvement, and so thats what they did, in addition to worms Armageddon there is an expansion battle pack with more weapons, missions , and achievements. Anyone who can learn how to play x box can lean the controls just fine.

  1. An emergent party game that's fun for everyone to take part in even if they don't crawl away the victor. [July 2009, p.130]
  2. Love it, loathe it or ignore it, the formula always works. [Issue#47, p.100]
  3. Worms 2: Armageddon is the complete XBLA answer to the franchise that fans have been waiting for. Worms 2 is also good enough for me to recommend it to new fans of the series; even more so than the free PC demos floating about in cyberspace.
