The Assignment is an excellent piece of DLC that adds, in a purely positive way, to the base game.
The Assignment is one of those weird DLCs, because it's worth playing. The change in the gameplay mechanics is seamless and interesting. We are eager to see how the plot unfolds in The Consequence.

I recommend pick up one foHalloween and this game awesome story and lot action and graphic amazing and good day

Starring Juli Kidman, who partnered with Sebastian and Joseph briefly during the main campaign, The Assignment attempts to tell another story that runs parallel to Seb’s antics, as we find Kidman going through her own personal journey of intrigue and horror. Roughly three-and-a-half hours, The Assignment proves quite the paradigm shift however, with stealth pushed to the forefront seeing as how Juli is virtually unarmed throughout her entire journey, save for a trusty flashlight and her own wit. As such, you’ll be doing a lot of time sneaking about and luring enemies using your voice

The Assignment is a brilliant start to The Evil Within's post-launch content support that fans can't afford to miss out on.
Shedding some major light on The Evil Within's lacking story by putting players in Kidman's shoes, The Assignment is the perfect complementary DLC, full of more scares and intense moments.
It focuses more on puzzles and atmosphere, which creates a more convincing survival horror experience. If only it lasted a little longer.
Horrifying environments and enemies keep you on your toes, but a few choice mechanics can be frustrating and detract from immersion.
What you are instead left with is something that departs a bit too much from what fans probably wanted. Instead of fixing the few issues The Evil Within had, they introduced something completely new with a whole new bag of troubles. Fortunately enough, the story is interesting enough and holds up pretty well, and for some that may just be worth the price of entry.
All I can say is... WOW!!! I thought The Evil Within itself was amazing, but, to top it off, they add a DLC that even extends the awesome environment and storyline of this incredible thrill ride ****! Plus, you gotta love the black cat at your save points! ^^ This DLC and the main game itself "The Evil Within" are top notch in my book, and it is my very favorite survival horror game to date! :D

What makes this game more enticing than the full story of the 'main' game itself is the fact that it doesn't utilize (barely at all) a combat system. Sure you have use a weapon at some point, but what is the point of a horror game if you all you do is run and gun? What this dlc provides us with is a far more brilliant way to play. Stealth, in this game, is what makes us cringe in fear of what would be utterly okay at best enemies if we had more combat (see first game). Hiding from terrifying enemies in close quarters is what made me want to stand still in my tracks, although that would cause a game over. Good plot point, good gameplay and amazing strides and what would be an uplifer for this game.

Completly terrible experience forced stealh kidman cant run longer than 2 secounds and you cant recover stamina like in base game she cant even walk normally or do melee attacks

Another example of DLC which has been potentially edited out of the original game. The Evil Within was convoluted garbage which relied on excessive gore instead of narrative and gameplay. Kidman's DLC tries to help explain the (ridiculous) goings on at the asylum. It doesn't really help though, it just confirms how muddled the game actually is and how the director is stuck trying to repeat past successes. Avoid.
