Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is a must have game on the PS4!
It's a bit disappointing that the remake of Tomb Raider could not
deliver any new content of value, but the graphics and next-gen effects
are eye candy that is more than welcome. This is not enough for the
already saved to buy Lara Croft's latest adventure again, but the game
is still a shining example of an entertaining action adventure that
should be experienced.

I am playing this game for the first time on ps5 and a shocked how good it is for such an old game. I am seriously posyponing playing other games I ordered just to finish tomb raider

One of the best adventure games on console, with a fantastic blend of action and exploration. The Definitive Edition really is definitive, but isn't worth a repeat buy for those who've already experienced Lara's story.
It’s the same brilliant game that came out last year, all polished up and looking its finest. For returning adventurers, on the other hand, there’s so little in the way of new content that there’s not much point buying the new version unless you had an urge to replay it anyway.
Its thin characters and unconvincing narrative aside, the game maintains a sense of inertia, pounding action, and a balance between solid gunplay, distracting puzzles, and satisfying environmental traversal.
While all of these positives remain a huge plus, though, Tomb Raider still has plenty of flaws, the story being its biggest misstep. Incredibly obvious and packed full of cliches, you can't help but cringe at some of the dialogue as people speak to each other as if they were reciting a GCSE play. The Last of Us would laugh Tomb Raider out of the playground.
Tomb Raider is a terrific game, and the Definitive Edition is a gorgeous looking version of it. It's the same game it was in 2013, though, with no further improvements justifying its "definitive" status.
In a delightful word full of surprising scenes. When I played this game again after 8 years. As if it was my turn! . Lara's empowerment process was great.

Having played the 'Shadow' and the 'Rise' games first, this version seems outdated, hence doesn't allow for a very fair comparison. That being said, it still is a good Tomb Raider game with an interesting storyline, and is worth playing on PS4 in 2023.
Cons (when comparing with the Rise/Shadow games):
- Lack of looting/trading opportunities
- No side missions
- Character movement is less smooth
- Optional tombs are way too easy - No crafting opportunities
- Limited number of skills

Dropped this game 3 times and came back to it, every single time I came back I never enjoyed it, just too boring and feels too gimicky.
