Train Sim World is a robust yet accessible game that caters for a wide range of its material’s responsibilities. The game does a good job at feeding you into its intricacies and once there, rarely fails to maintain its allure. It’s also quite free in its approach, enabling players to explore and drive at a leisurely pace. Not perfect nor groundbreaking by any means, but it does achieve what it sets out to accomplish.

The sheer detail in the trains and the large size of all the routes are a sight to behold. It is also quite relaxing, just going along a route, taking in the atmosphere and dding what you need to do as a train drive. This is a sim through and through and you need to know what to expect. The game sometimes has you doing very little and it may seem boring at times, but I find having a video on in the background or a podcast adds to the experience a lot, like you are listening to the radio along the way. Is it perfect? Definitely not. It can be a tad buggy, the framerate drops at times, there are some lacking details like in the people and there can be a clear lack of instructions on some scenarios. Regardless, I have enjoyed this game a lot and it is a go to game for relaxation for me. If you have any liking of trains and what comes with them, then try it out. Expand
