  1. Combat is somewhat repetitive, though, and the game is more fun when she is jumping across chasms or rolling through tunnels.
  2. A good romp, easily a step above the usual licensed junk that saturates the market around the holiday season. There just really isn't anything bad or good about Aeon Flux; it's a slightly above average game that doesn't really bring anything new to the table.
  3. Game Informer
Manages to transcend its problems with clever platforming and some interesting level designs. [Jan 2006, p.138]
  4. Heavy on style and light on coherency, but there's enough enjoyable action to keep things from flying apart at the seams.
  5. It suffers because of its story. All of the twists and turns and never knowing what is really going on detracts from all of the cool moves and action the game provides.
  6. The game might have inherited the movie's convoluted mess, but it is a somewhat decent adventure title, albeit marred by a frustrating control.
  7. Official Xbox Magazine
Amazing speed, fluid graphics. [Feb 2006, p.81]
  8. Play Magazine
In a world where death is as temporary as heartburn, nothing is out of bounds. [Dec 2005, p.62]
  9. A somwhat confusing game that doesn't live up to the inspired madness of the animated series; it does however manage to be a whole lot better than some of the games featuring female heroes.
  10. The combat isn't as good as it should be, which sadly lets down what is otherwise a solid acrobatic platformer with cunning puzzles, set in a dazzling futuristic world.

While the game's aesthetics and design is spot on to the franchises distinct style, gameplay teeters between fluidly fast-pace action and insanely difficult and tedious game segments.
  12. Just like the plot of Aeon Flux, the game is sometimes brilliant, sometimes frustrating, and overall a bit on the confusing side of things.
  13. It is neither particularly offensive nor particularly engrossing, but for a licensed property, one could certainly do far worse.
  14. Redundant or not, it's also worth pointing out that the whole game only takes ten hours - tops - to finish, and honestly, that's just long enough before the tedium begins to set in.
  15. This release, however, is a merely average Prince of Persia clone with a bad movie sewn onto it. It may be worth investigation if you need your next wall-running fix, but don't come with high expectations.
  16. The gameplay remains addictively fun thanks to a few cool techniques and the use of metallic balls, and the design isn't half bad. However, the game could've used just a little more work to keep up with the bigger female guns out there.
  17. It's a disgrace to see such prime material squandered over such a mediocre game. While it's not horrible, it could have been much cooler.
  18. The action is fun, if a bit monotonous when it comes to combat and linear throughout.

Aeon Flux is your standard movie to game adaptation. It's not terrible, it's just extremely average.
  20. This is a game that has been made to promote the film, no doubt in tandem with cereal box promotions and official merchandise coming to a supermarket near you. It's just a shame, for both their sake and ours, that it simply isn't very good.

Avoid it like the plague. Terrible gameplay and dry graphics completely ruin this.
