  1. Despite the insanely difficult and nearly impossible Challenge mode and the sometimes-unfair violent behavior on the part of the A.I.-controlled racers, a good visual presentation, great trick system and tough races make ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 a good addition to the Xbox racing library.
  2. There really couldn’t have been much of a better way to start off the Xbox ATV collection than this game. It offers you hours and hours of constant gameplay that never seems to get old or repetitive. Once you beat it though, beware – this game doesn’t have too much depth after you unlock everything.
  3. Game Informer
It has a good sense of speed and physics, and the tracks accentuate these qualities quite well. [Apr 2003, p.93]
  4. Electronic Gaming Monthly
The control is a bit sloppy, but the tracks really improve as the game progresses. [Mar 2003, p.134]
  5. GameNow
Biggest letdown: the lack of open worlds to roam and trick around in. [Mar 2003, p.51]
  6. 72
A decent racer, but unresponsive controls prevent the Xbox version of QPR2 from outshining the pack.
  7. Some of the game’s courses are a bit on the bland side. To me this is entirely unacceptable, as the developers had obviously proven that beautiful course design was possible with the power of the Xbox.
  8. The racing aspect of the game is the most complete part of ATV: QPR2, but the most entertaining part, tricking, is a bit too difficult.
  9. An enjoyable yet unoriginal game.
  10. Other visual effects are absolutely horrid, such as driving through water. I expected a little bit more polish environmentally.
  11. Play Magazine
If you own multiple consoles - although the game is solid across all three platforms - the Xbox game takes the prize, with eight competitors to the GC and PS2's six, along with a four-player mode compared to the other consoles' two. [Mar 2003, p.64]
  12. Cheat Code Central
The trick system is easy to use, maybe too easy. There's not a lot of depth... Very straightforward in every respect and that's why I think it's perfect for a rental.
  13. Official Xbox Magazine
The game behind the skimpy clothes fails to impress... The play balance is simply no fun. [Mar 2003, p.78]
  14. 66
ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 is to the PS2's "ATV Offroad Fury 2," as peas and carrots are to filet of Wild Virginia Bass with melted Savoy cabbage and Spanish caper emulsion.
  15. The core mechanics and the main race modes are enjoyable enough that someone looking specifically for an ATV racing game will have some fun.
  16. Xbox Nation Magazine
No matter how easy it is to do, kicking someone off his four-wheeler never stops being satisfying. [Apr/May 2003, p.93]
  17. The novelty of kicking your friends from their bike in the heat of a race won't last forever, so once that aspect of the fun wears off so does any urge to hunker down to a night of ATV Quad Power Racing 2.

The controls are okay and the tricks are the same that you have done in other games. The tracks and diff gameplay makes the game longer and is worth the money if you spend your money carefully and need a game to last you longer time if you survive on teenage cash. Full Review »
