  1. The Follow Camera turns a decent game into a great game. Deeper multiplayer support would have been nice to drive home the "next-gen" quotient.
  2. Ubisoft had an excellent idea with the squad idea and the squad controls, but I never really felt like they were a big part of the game.
  3. BA is best played online, but the single player mode can be fun for awhile; it may not capture everyones attention span for the entire 20 missions.

Blazing Angels is definitely a sight for sore eyes. Its visuals will leave you gazing in wonder, but at the same time, the gameplay will have you fighting back tars. [May 2006, p.94]

The game still has looks to kill for and offers up the identical Xbox Live modes and challenge of the 360 version. [May 2006, p.71]
  6. Blazing Angels would be a perfect place for someone who's never played a dogfighting game to start. For someone who's played a dozen, though, it's just more of the same. It's extremely well-executed sameness, but sameness nonetheless.

Fun to play and easy to look at, but the gameplay is ultimately a bit too straightforward and shallow. It is borderline outrageous that the single-player campaign lasts only for 5 hours. [Apr 2006]

it is brilliant and a really good arcadey style feel with all of the spitfires and mustangs.

This is a very solid flight sim. I played it alongside Wings of War and Blazing Angels is definately the superior title.
