The quintessential point-and-click adventure... Only without point-and-click!
There are some issues with the controls, but this is a pretty good game overall.

What this game needs is more doors. Locked ones. That can never be opened. Yeah, it needs more doors. And puzzles involving finding new ways to open said doors. I won't be happy until there are more doors in the game than homebase. ... Shame on you Edge ...

Another flawed XBOX conversion, avoid or buy on the PC, the game is very glitchy and bugged, this was confirmed by 3 memebers of my local game store. Whoever is doing these XBOX conversions needs to be sacked!

Wasnt sure of the 3-D engine before purchase, but the transition from 2-D to 3-D really works!

A fairytale comeback. Extravagance was one of the signatures of the graphic adventure: extravagance to bring them in, and a cracking story well told to keep them. Both tenets of the Broken Sword series remain intact here, and that's all the devoted fans could have wanted. [Christmas 2003, p.94]

A good story told well is a rare thing, but for the third time, Revolution has done just that. Players looking for an intelligent adventure will find few better Xbox titles than this. [Mar 2004, p.82]
  3. Gamestyle seriously can't imagine anyone NOT having a good time with the game; the story is strong, scripting is well-done, characters are likable and the humour is abundant and at times very sarcastic.
