  • Summary: Burnout Revenge is a racing game in which your desire for destruction is as important as your ability to reach the finish line. The sequel to Burnout 3 adds some new features such as detailed car damage, crash combos, and a meter that rewards vengeance on the road. Game modes run the range from pure racing to pure destruction on a handful of real-world locations, including Detroit and Rome. 1. Burnout devotees will love it but this is a game made for casual gamers. There's no massive skill required, it's a terrific accessible game for anyone.
  2. Builds upon everything that was so spectacular about Burnout 3, and just takes it all to a whole new level. It's fast, gorgeous and just an absolute blast to play.
  3. The same fun game that we discovered in "Burnout 3." If you are a fan of the series and can ignore the fact that this isn't a major evolutionary step, you will likely be satisfied with this new addition to the Burnout family.

Hardly a vast leap forward for the series, but it's not a simple graphical improvement with a minor gameplay upgrade thrown in either.

Burnout Revenge is, indeed, the most destructive, flat out fun racer I have had the honor to play. The sense of speed is amazing and the slo-mo replays never get old. A hearty recommendation to any gamer. Expand

A few steps backwards from Burnout 3: Takedown. The ability to plow through same-direction traffic removes a fun challenge of avoiding cars. While I can't put my finger on it, there's something about the graphics, lighting or something in Revenge that I find off-putting. When I first picked up Takedown, I couldn't stop playing it. Revenge is just not as fun or satisfying to me. I'll be rolling back to Takedown for my car-rampaging entertainment needs. Expand

They really watered down the game with the trafic checking system and there are also problems with the camera moving outside of a wall or even my car shot through a wall into the void and outside of the level. Just not as good as Burnout 3. It's unfinished. It seems like they rushed it trying to get it out before the Xbox 360 is released. Expand
