  • Summary: For the first time ever in a racing game, players will be able to fuse two cars together on the fly to form a super vehicle with the all-new "clashing" technology. In Crash Tag Team Racing, players can combine their car with an opponent's mid-race to make a super-car equipped with a powerful turret gun. When clashed, players can either get behind the wheel and drive or fire an onboard weapon. Each character has his or her own uniquely deadly 360˚ rotating turret. Players can continue the action out of the car where they can explore the entire world on foot and collect upgrades for their cars and unlock bonus tracks. Collapse

  1. But you can't deny that Crash Bandicoot's graphical qualities are one of the best we've seen from a game of this genre.
  2. A great game for the kids, or maybe just the kids at heart.
  3. "The old cart racing mold has (finally) been broken...make that shattered" [Nov p.87]
  4. Nothing memorable, but at least it blows "Nitro Kart" out of the water.
  5. Admittedly broken down into its individual aspects Crash Tag Team Racing comes up a little short, however the overall game gels the pieces together to create an entertaining experience for young and old alike.
  6. It could bring a whle new edge to the game if it had an online mode. [Holiday 2005, p.68]
  7. What they've done is mash together a platform/coin-collecting game with a plodding kart-combat racer, then grafted on some escaped-from-a-cell-phone minigames. It's a Frankensteinian mess.

One of the best platformers on the Xbox, with some really fun racing tracks, mostly focused around blasting other players off the track, completing challenges, and, of course, racing. I've had hours of fun out of this when I was younger, and still enjoy playing it on my original Xbox to this day, and hope to see Crash Tag Team Racing 2 for the Xbox360. (not Xbox 1 as I don't have it yet.) Expand
