  1. The levels were well thought out and most have more than one way through them which is refreshing to see.
  2. A fun game that does a really good job of making you feel as if you are taking part in a classic-era Bond film. Unfortunately, the overall linearity and lack of a significant multiplayer mode ensures that this is a game that will be played through once, and then left on the shelf.
  3. The only thing that was holding this game back was its limitations put upon it by having to follow an established movie.
  4. From Russia With Love isn't the most challenging or in-depth game in the world, however what it lacks in both of these categories it more than makes up for by simply being a highly entertaining and authentically cinematic shoot'em-up game.
  5. A rather straight-forward action game. There are a few minor quibbles, but on the whole the action is smooth and frantic. Looks, sounds and feels like Bond. [Nov 2005]
  6. Boasts a fantastic sneak system with incredibly gratifying yet super-easy stealth kills. [Jan 2006, p.76]
  7. 80
There are predictable missteps--the driving sequences are awkward and twitchy, and the camera doesn't always behave itself--but on the whole, From Russia With Love is a convincing and enjoyable ride on the sixties Bond rollercoaster.

There are some minor gameplay issues, and the weak multiplay -- with no online gaming -- hurt the overall game, but the single-player story is strong.
  9. Drive the Goldfinger DB5, fly the Thunderball jetpack and fight some classic baddies in challenging environments. It's enough to make you toss your trilby on to a hat-rack in delight.

When we look back on it the levels in "Everything or Nothing" bordered on great. In comparison, some of Russia's missions are longer, but generally they're average in design and effect.
  11. Solid entertainment for a weekend or Connery junkies, but people looking for the next great third-person shooter shouldn't stop their search.
  12. Even with the man who created the 007 persona back in the starring role, this sequel just can't measure up to the standards of excellence set by the Bond films or by the action game genre in general. [Dec 2005, p.160]
  13. An enjoyable gaming experience even though it is a rather short one. The easy difficulty takes away from some of the enjoyment of the game.

EA made a daring attempt at trying to portray the 1963 film, which for the most part, reached its goal despite the small lack of fluidity in level selection and plot transitions. However, gamers who enjoyed "Everything or Nothing" will be extremely disappointed to find out that From Russia With Love doesn't even come close to its previous predecessor's gameplay innovation and fast-moving action build-up.
  15. While the general gameplay is fun, the aiming system needs to offer a bit more manual control. Additionally, the AI should have received an upgrade this time around.
  16. I enjoyed the shooting action on foot but found the driving to be a little lacklustre.
  17. 75
A great game if all you want is a man with a gun shooting some bad guys. But if you want a Bond game, stick with "Everything or Nothing."
  18. While it lasts, Bond fans should fall head over heels for From Russia With Love.

1st of all let me just say that I'd rate Nightfire and Everything Or Nothing as both 9/10 (Rogue Agent much much lower, but that's 1st of all let me just say that I'd rate Nightfire and Everything Or Nothing as both 9/10 (Rogue Agent much much lower, but that's another story). This game plays like Everything or Nothing, evcept not as fun. It does look good, and the connery bond is an excellent one, but the levels just aren't well designed. It's like someone trying to make a deadline created them. Full Review »
