  • Summary: Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 takes you for a ride through free-roaming cities, where you can perform a variety of stunts on your bike. Choose from an array of professional riders--including Matt Hoffman, Ruben Alcantara, Cory Nastazio, Mike Escamilla, Nathan Wessel, and Joe Kowalski--and begin a skating career. You'll travel to eight expansive cities that come to life with helicopters, boats, cars, and pedestrians. Then, challenge your friend in Push mode, where every time you score big, your side of the screen gets bigger while your friend's shrinks. Expand

  1. Multiplayer is a highlight, and it works incredibly well. [Nov 2002, p.132]
  2. 81
There's absolutely no reason to give it a pass because you were diappointed in the first Mat Hoffman, because the two games have nothing besides the name in common.
  3. If not for the tough level progression we might have been talking about this game in a completely different (and much happier) light.
  4. The XBox game looks a little better and has the obligatory extra rider and level, but it lacks the use of home made soundtracks, which is a bummer.
  5. The game's shallow goal design keeps it from achieving the same level of addictiveness as games like "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3" and "Aggressive Inline."
  6. Our main gripe other than this that there is too much emphasis placed on completing the tasks in order to open up new levels – this is very restricting.
  7. 58
The gameplay is as deep and as tight as previous games in this genre, but the gameplay is so perfectionist that the game is just not that much fun to play.
