  1. Gives World War II games a bad name by skimping on the essentials - story, A.I. and multiplayer - to focus on floating icons and the art of hiding behind crates. Instead, just hide your wallet.

European Assault is one of the ugliest current-gen games we've seen. Boring textures, a weak palette and a flimsy design ethic all round make it appear like slightly dressed up PSone data. The animation seems inspired by amateur puppetry and even the menus look like they were knocked up in the last day before submission. [Aug 2005, p.94]

The multiplayer has no bot mode, a feature previously in rising sun and no online functionality even when it launched.
If you crave retro MOH invest in a cheap £25 pc and buy allied assault and its acomplicing expansions however if you have then all and are craving a new experience it's not so bad I guess. I suppose we need to beg ea for a remaster of the first Medal of Honor games before airborne, until then this will have to do.

It certainly has its flaws, but it was enjoyable how there were side missions that encouraged extra exploration of the levels. I felt that the squad tactics didn't quite work right, and the gameplay would have been better off without. Still worth playing if you're a MOH fan, even if it is somewhat outdated. Full Review »

Firstly let me say i haven't played a moh game since the first one on the playstation (which i really enjoyed). Frontline and rising sun Firstly let me say i haven't played a moh game since the first one on the playstation (which i really enjoyed). Frontline and rising sun skipped me by, so when i saw this released i thought i might give it a try. The reviews from the 'professional' sites nearly put me off buying, but some other reviews said it was good so i thought i'd buy and try. And so far so good. Yes the graphics are not up to the likes of Halo 2 BUT it is a good game with good gameplay and reasonable enemy AI I for one am glad i bought it. Full Review »
