  • Summary: Mike Tyson Boxing proves that one of history's oldest sports is also one of its bloodiest. The game allows boxers to deliver intense pain to their opponents with 600 brutal power punches, illegal moves, signature blows, and combos. As one of the game's professional pugilists, or your own customized fighter, you'll work your way through the bronze and silver ranks for a one-on-one meeting with Mike Tyson. Bring the big fight home in such venues as Carnival City, Ceasars Palace, and Wembley Arena. Expand

  1. The game is as good a boxing game as you are going to find, but it’s not great.
  2. Mike Tyson Heavyweight Boxing has a slew of faults that inevitably bring the title down but that’s not to say that you won’t have a good time in the ring.
  3. 40
The most disappointing aspect of the game, however, is the lack of attention to detail. The loading times are atrocious simply to go from one menu to another, you cannot improve your fighter's abilities between fights in the Title Belt mode, and there's no Training mode.
  4. The deep create-a-boxer mode is the only aspect of the game that truly excels, but one good feature doesn't even out a sub-standard title. [Fall 2002, p.120]

Character creation was abysmal, also it is horribly confusing and anti-player friendly, like super-star like game.
