A pretty addictive title and has earned some great marks for sound and gameplay. This title's best features include the career mode which sucked hours on end from my life.

91The most interesting element of this robust racer is the trick system which uses a blend of well-timed button mashing and joystick movements to give you access to seemingly endless array of cool air tricks.

Where Left Field shine, and do they ever shine, is in course design, AI and control. MTX is a gas to see and play. [Mar 2004, p.66]

The fact you need to adjust where you're sitting on the bike during a race adds to creating a real MX racing experience. Anyone who enjoys MX games will enjoy this one.
-
A quality racing experience with blazing visuals, realistic physics, and an excellent trick system.

87One of the best places for the experience of racing in the dirt and having it online makes it even better. The racing tracks are fun to ride and with online stats there's a compelling reason to keep shaving seconds off your time.
-
87Guys and gals that got off on "T.H.U.G." will also find a lot of gameplay value here since they will be able to dig deep into the lengthy Career Mode. Gamers jonesing for the return of the motocross track editor, a la "Excitebike," will want to check it out as well.
-
It's got solid and easy-to-learn gameplay, a very good career mode, and online gameplay which to me always adds points to my score.
-
87One of the more fun extreme sports type games I have played in recent memory. The gameplay is easy to pick up on, but not easy to master.
