    Online, 2K Sports continues to lead the pack with online leagues and seasons. NHL 2K7 on higher difficulties is a solid simulation and, with all the modes, teams and options, is the most complete hockey title on the Xbox.

    While the Pressure Control and drop pass are nice additions to the control scheme, they aren't as innovative as last year's Pro Control passing or even Crease Control. The new skating engine adds more precision in terms of player movement on the ice, but it doesn't negate the overwhelming use of one-timers to score goals.

    I must say that while I was initially disappointed with this title, the more time I spent with it, the more I grew to love it. NHL2K7 is the best iteration of the series. They have touched up the AI, skating feels much more realistic now than it used to (no more table-hockey effect!) and for the first time since 2K5, you can really feel the momentum switch after a big goal or fight. The only thing that bummed me out is they took out some of the control features, like one-touch passing, but overall I am very happy with the game. The best part is that the game is fun again, which is a solid departure from the predictability of 2K6. Bravo!… Full Review »

    I like the new dynamic camera a lot. But the game disappoints on many other levels. The graphics and entire asthetic is ugly and dingy as with previous years. I don't notice any animation improvement as advertised in the new features. The animation was, and still is a bit of a weak point. Bob Cole and Harry Neal are the best commentators that exist, but they make several mistakes a game. Much of their mistakes are obvious glitches, which also show through in most other areas. As with previous years, glitches are common. Okay, it really should be all about the gameplay, but it's not all that exceptional either. The goal variety and goalie ai are really important in a hockey game, but aren't great here. It just doesn't look like a real game yet to passerbyers, the way other sports. Madden 2001 and NFL 2k both look more like a real game of football, than NHL 2k7 looks like a real hockey game. That just shouldn't be. This series needs to evolve bad.… Full Review »
