A much more enjoyable, involving game than its predecessor. [Feb 2003, p.80]
A tough-as-nails, manic, top-down shooter (something I always have room for) with a deep magic system and a healthy (yet somewhat misplaced) techno soundtrack in tow. [Mar 2003, p.65]

There's little you can do despite the 34 spells at your disposal. Getting out alive is left to chance and a lot of button mashing.
There is nothing in this game that hasn't been done better in every single way than "Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance."
Evil incantations have adversely affected the game's characters and the game engine itself. Simply put, Nightcaster II has problems.
About as incoherent and obnoxious as the ramblings of a bored frat boy who's holding an empty six-pack and a boom box, except with Nightcaster II, you have to pay $40 to be subjected to it.
