The triggers control the flippers, and the ball physics are outstanding - every hit feels like it has real weight. [Nov 2004, p.77]
-
Although the game doesn't have too many bonus features and the different tables are similar in design, you still get 4 challenging and very realistic looking pinball tables at your disposal.
-
73The best iteration of a classic ball and flipper game out there. Die hard pinball fans will be smart and either play or buy the real deal, so I can't recommend Pure Pinball to any of these freaks.
-
It's physics are absolutely true to life, and its tilts - a propers smiting for too much cheating - are fairly issued. [June 2004, p.88]

I love pinball but I have to admit that after an hour of play I want to do something else. Just about anything else. But that's the way I feel about real pinball.
-
70The outstanding physics do a great job simulating the game of pinball, and the graphics and sound take that experience to the next level to offer a package that pinball purists should not hesitate to add to their collection.
-
69The four tables aren't the greatest tables in the world, and the camera angles and presentation could use a little work, but the solid ball physics go a long way.
-
67Visually the game looks great (well, how hard is it to render a stationary table?) and the physics are perfect. Problem is, there are only four tables, all of which get old after a few days and there's no option for playing hot potato.
-
60The feel of the flippers translate well into the game, letting you practice stalls and precision shots...Overall, it's a solid simulation of the real thing. Then again, the real thing only costs a quarter to play.
-
60If you are a diehard pinball fan and want pinball on your Xbox, check it out. Everyone else go to an arcade.

I can't imagine the conversations that led someone to decide that this sparse (though accurate) game would be a good idea. [Oct 2004, p.140]

D.G.9Great game for what it is. But I agree with one of the last reviewers, if Pure Pinball 2 can license a few well known tables (KISS!), it would rock!
-
JonJ.8Extremely fun pinball game! It does have only 4 tables but still great fun.
