A game that should stand out in it's genre, it incorporates the weapon system and shields very well, along with a nice feeling of comfort for any certain racer. With great visuals and even greater gameplay, this game is a definite must-buy.

One of the few good alternatives to Wipeout.
This game amazed me from the start, great controls, great sense of speed, addictive play.
As it was stated before underrated.

Damn near perfect. Thirteen years later and this game still looks and plays like a dream. The sense of speed is unparalleled, the gameplay is smooth and responsive and the weapon system is easy to manage. This game got so many things right for it's time. 1. Redshift's well-honed action and lofty technical ambition are let down by a repetitive and dated no-progress-for-second-place structure, overly familiar mechanics, and conspicuous lack of style. [Winter 2002, p.95]
  2. With incredible track designs, a spot-on control system and a soundtrack by Junkie XL, Quantum Redshift leaves little to be desired. It may not be perfection, but it's pretty darn close. [Dec 2002, p.125]
  3. Explosions, good lighting and cool particle effects are everywhere in Quantum Redshift. But the graphical effect that stands out the most is the subtlest of them all: water.
