  • Summary: Set in feudal Japan, Samurai Warriors puts you in control of Yukimura Sanada as she leads an elite band of samurai and ninja through the hallowed battlefields of Okehazama, Kawanakajima, and inside the embattled walls of Osaka Castle. The epic tale unfolds as you come face-to-face with gun-toting troops, echelons of ninja, and deadly kunoichi--female ninja--in both historic and fictional battles. Samurai Warriors also features hundreds of different mini-missions, multiplayer support, and an Active Mission System that triggers distinct missions during every battle. Expand

  1. The create a soldier mode that is dependent upon your skill with activities is a fresh spin to the player generated fighter, and the inclusion of RPG-esque elements take the rather tired elements from "Dynasty Warriors" and injects new blood into the genre.
  2. 74
Only negative I have with this is the fact that most of the game can be beaten by repeatedly tapping the "X" button; varying control scheme would have been nice.
  3. 74
Simplistic fighting that one has to actively make more difficult for him or herself is never a welcome addition to any game, and while the storyline of Samurai Warriors is well-executed in the game, and while the depth of the game is ever-present, it's not enough to save the title from monotony and boredom for most gamers.
