I know that some gamers will find the Xbox Live feature of this game irresistible. For them this game will be a great bargain.
The single player experience has been beefed up, the number of cars to unlock in incredible, the online facet is simply some of the most fun you’ll have with a racer online and the overall price is incredibly cheap for what you get. At $19.99, there is no reason to pass this game by.
With each release this series keeps losing more and more ground. [Dec 2003, p.170]
The game runs smoothly and offers decent competition from the cpu cars.
While the $20 price tag might seem like a great reason to pick up Sega GT Online, it’s not.
The unmistakable quality persists but only the keenest fans are likely to find the online component draw enough to upgrade, while the same newbie-repelling difficulty as before may struggle to attract fresh followers. [Jan 2004, p.115]
The biggest disappointment is how the online games end. As soon as the first player crosses the finish line the game ends. It does not matter if you have one or a dozen laps to go, the game is over.
