  1. Old school enthusiasts are virtually required to pick up a copy.
  2. The addition of the classic SpyHunter game from '83 kicks the game's score up a few notches just for the cool bonus. [May 2002, p.78]
  3. Action: Yup, this game is packed with it. [June 2002, p.120]
  4. Entertaining to play, had nice features, intuitive controls, and was a nice adaptation of the original, but it just lacked that extra something to score it as a "keeper."
  5. Extremely short. The multiplayer might help extend the life of the game a bit longer, but it’s simply not entertaining enough to hold your interest for very long.
  6. The game has enough to put a smile on your face, but it ends too soon. The game is good, but it’s way too short. Just when you really get into it, it’s over.
  7. I find Spy Hunter somewhat an exercise in memorization as you traverse each trecherous path discovering which weapon to use where. [May 2002, p.58]
