  1. I enjoyed every minute I was playing Episode III, even when I was dying at the light saber battle with General Grevious or Mace Windu for the 17th time.
  2. A good game based on a movie. It's no Riddick but it certainly entertains and is designed for fans of the film.
  3. 80
Never before has the Jedi experience been this visceral and accessible at the same time, and Revenge of the Sith has something for hardcore fans and curious onlookers alike. The Force is strong with this one.
  4. AceGamez
Smooth animation, a fantastic soundtrack and plenty of variety in the use of combat and force powers make this a game that's engaging and fun to play through.
  5. Like the movie itself, the game's surprisingly good and full of decent action as you use Jedi skills in a barrage of lightsaber battles to win one for good or evil.
  6. 80
The graphics are crisp and well defined, with everything remaining faithful to the source material. John Williams' scoring is simply some of the best orchestral work ever, and all of the signature Star Wars sound effects remain as amazing and unique as ever.
  7. The amount of superbly crafted unlockables and wonderfully chilling moments is almost enough to make you forget about the numerous technical ailments. Regardless if it is a slightly misshapen circle, it is nonetheless, a complete one.
  8. Official Xbox Magazine
If you want an action-packed ride that finally allows you to cut loose as Darth Vader, then you've come to the right galaxy. [July 2005, p.84]
  9. Coming home and reliving the incredibly cool persona of a badass Jedi Knight is definitely something fans will get behind. That said, the game is repetitive, extremely short (maybe 6 hours to complete the campaign) and is very straightforward in its approach.
  10. If the game was a little bit longer (it takes less than ten hours to beat), had less repetition, and the controls were just slightly more refined, this game would have been a whole lot better.
  11. 75
The final singleplayer bonus mission that you unlock is actually quite rewarding for fans of the older movies.
  12. It's another film license gone to waste.
  13. It's not as deep as say "Ninja Gaiden" but it is good old fashion fun that deserves your attention. Be warned it contains MAJOR spoilers so you might want to wait... or if you're like me and can't then by all means play this thing to death.
  14. There are plenty of problems (collision detection, button mashing gameplay, few openings in boss battles and when they're there you can only do 3 strikes) that far outweigh the good (the simple concept of the boss battles is pure Star Wars fandom heaven) for this game to stand up to better action games out there.
  15. 73
It's a shame that the rough edges weren't smoothed out, but I expected there to be far more problems than there are. The few issues here aren't game-killing.
  16. You'll be hard pushed to find any replay value in the story mode.
  17. Pelit (Finland)
Entertaining but much too short. The camera angles are awful and the action itself is a little too hectic. Duels, however, are nicely done. [July 05]
  18. 70
The ultimate Jedi action experience? It just might be.
  19. The addition of multiplayer gives it some lasting appeal, but the Force just isn't strong enough in this one to make it a must-have.
  20. But the potential of a great movie-to-game translation is marred by sub-standard controls dictated by a lack of 3rd person perspective.
  21. Only the most diehard fans will find anything in this game to last them more than a weekend rental.
  22. 66
Basic, uninspired, glitch-filled gameplay; extremely poor graphics; and noticeably absent film talent- all of the elements of a half-baked attempt to cash-in on the rush for Star Wars memorabilia are here.
  23. 66
Good as a tool for reliving the movie but not for experiencing it in the first place.
  24. Play Magazine
The game's a tad short for my taste, although if you're looking for pure action, RoTS is the way to go. [July 2005, p.79]
  25. A very short game. You're best off making it a weekend rental and saving the rest of your money to go see the actual movie, if you haven't already.
  26. The lightsaber dueling is ultimately too repetitive and easily exploited to be very fun for long, and each of the 16 missions (and subsequent bonus missions) don't take more than 10 to 20 minutes apiece to complete.
  27. The repetitive nature harms the game quite a bit.
  28. 60
Revenge of the Sith certainly isn't the disaster the Phantom Menace game is, but it lacks memorable moments, and has a few too many damning flaws to recommend a purchase.
  29. Game Informer
Without question, the only suitable home for this game is in a molten river on Mustafar right next to Anakin's legs and arm. [July 2005, p.117]
  30. Perhaps the game wouldn't have been so mind-numbingly average if the developer had allowed the player a little freedom - perhaps by granting movement of the camera.
  31. Electronic Gaming Monthly
Too many levels center on mindless droid hacking. [Aug 2005, p.110]
  32. 50
The basic idea of a lightsabre side-scrolling beat 'em up is a good one. But, the game is simply too short, too simple and overrun with camera problems to be any better than average.
  33. Flawed gameplay that borders on monotonous is this game's menace. While the lightsaber fighting scheme is actually fairly deep, especially when you mix in grapple attacks, force tricks and counterattacks on top of counterattacks, I rarely used most of these goodies.
  34. 50
Worst of all is the repetitive and completely linear feel of every mission.
  35. The lack of diversity in stages (no real space combat?!) hurts, and there's only so much to come back to. Not a total loser of a game, but the Force is not strong with this one.
  36. Pelaaja (Finland)
As a movie licence and a Star Wars game, Revenge of the Sith is not too bad. Still, it's a disappointment when compared to The Collective's previous output. The Collective has done what can be done in the relatively short development time and limited freedom offered by the licence. [June 2005, p.60]
  37. The only reason I could find for a person to finish this game would be if it was their first exposure to the Revenge of the Sith story.
  38. 45
Whether it comes on the Xbox or PlayStation, just avoid the game and try something that looks better, plays better and sounds better. Try "Lego Star Wars."
  39. netjak
The only gaming use I can find for this would be to in a museum display for the worst use of video game licenses, or as a cautionary tale about the woes of rushing a product to market.
  40. It's fun to run around the galaxy as a saber-flinging Jedi, cutting down droids by the score. But after a few minutes there's no point. It's too easy and extremely shallow when compared to other adventure games.
  41. Edge Magazine
It's a game that makes you desperately want to feel like a Jedi, arcing your lightsaber across the screen, ducking under attacks, parrying counters and going in for the kill, but the subtlety just isn't there. [July 2005, p.94]
  42. Since the saber-play is occasionally exciting, and that those of you who desperately want something that reminds you of the film might be prepared to put up with this in spite of its flaws. Me? I thought this was crap.
  43. For the love of Lucas, buy Lego Star Wars instead.
  44. games(TM)
Quite simply, Revengeā€¦ is the worst kind of Star Wars game - one that looks good enough to appeal to impulsive fans, but ultimately fails to deliver by being a horribly derivative, stale and linear example of the genre it so lazily falls into. [July 2005, p.114]

I also loved how they added the extra mission where it was Anakin who beat Obi Wan, That was great. I really enjoyed the game and played it countless times. The difficulty was a bit uneven though making it a bit too tough at times but overall it was great. Full Review »
