  1. Might I remind you this is the game that finally combines using the Force and starship combat, a concept that is so cool it could chill all the beer at five consecutive Oktoberfests.
  2. P.S. to LucasArts - The Xbox has 4 controller ports and LAN capabilities…
  3. The best version of this game lives on the Box - accept no substitute.
  4. The action is intense and immersive, and the Star Wars theme carries the game along nicely.

The Starfighter games for the Xbox simply feel faster than they do on a PlayStation 2. The speedy Xbox hardware simply offers a more realistic feel of what it's like to engage in aerial combat.
  6. Besides being fun and challenging (it’s not insane challenge all the time), it’s got a variety of different mission types, the solid controls are easy to learn and use, the graphics and sound are well done, and the two-player co-op mode makes for an entertaining experience.
  7. Game Informer
Gameplay is king. Starfighter has it in droves. I wouldn't recommend this game for those of you whose lives don't revolve around Star Wars. It's a game for geeks. That's it. [June 2002, p.82]
  8. Another Lucasarts game that cashes in on the Star Wars franchise name. Fortunately for us, it’s a good game.

It's almost like a copy of a copy of a copy which leads to an inevitable breakdown in quality.
  10. The game offers a great ride while also telling us a little more about the inner stories of Episode II that were not mentioned in the movie.
  11. The starships have now landed onto the Xbox, but the force is rather weak for some reason in this one.
  12. One key improvement Jedi Starfighter makes over the existing Xbox Starfighter game is in the realm of multiplayer. It doesn't have a system link component per se, but finally, someone has included a co-operative component throughout the entire story campaign.
  13. Electronic Gaming Monthly
You don't really face any hard-to-kill adversaries until you're well into the 16 missions. [July 2002, p.126]
  14. I know that you can't mess with the timeline of the universe, but it would have been nice to see a little more freedom within the layout of the game.
  15. The Jedi Starfighter feels more graceful and precise than the classic starfighters like the X-Wing or even the Tie Fighter, but maybe I was just feeling the Force...yea right.
  16. Xbox Nation Magazine
Weighs in a tad too light, and can be readily explored in a long weekend. [Fall 2002, p.118]
  17. The lack of improvements or additions upon the PS2 version really hurts it
  18. While it's not the prettiest Xbox game out there, let alone the best-looking Star Wars game, it does offer good control and entertaining gameplay.
  19. There's enough in here to entertain for a while so give it a whirl, just don't expect it to be playing it when "Star Wars Chapter Nine: Jedis Get Laid" arrives on the silver screen. [XGamer]

Though the implementation of combat-enhancing Force abilities is a welcome addition to the sequel, overall the game lacks depth—mostly because by now we should expect more intricate enemy-A.I. routines.
  21. 70
With a combination of good characters, good graphics, good sound and good levels I think it’s safe to say that this is a good game.
  22. From a pure enjoyment standpoint, Jedi Starfighter is incredibly sterile and lacking any of the feeling and fantasy that the Star Wars series offers – plus it’s virtually a carbon copy of the last one.

Jedi Starfighter, it took me ages to finish, but not because it was very difficult or long. It was because it was my least favourite Xbox game that I owned. I never really wanted to play it, but felt I had to or I would have been wasting money. When it was finished, it was deleted straight off the hard drive. Anyway, so I did I not enjoy playing this game. Why? One word 'BORING', the gameplay was extremely repetitive and overall limited. The cinematics were enough to keep you interested for only a second longer, and the storyline was not nearly enough to engage you. If you ever see this on eBay or maybe the video shop, spare yourself and don't buy it. Full Review »

The campaign is 15 missionsThis game is great, some parts are frustrating but for what it was, a game to promote a movie, it was really good. The campaign is 15 missions long and all of them play differently so you won't get bored, on top of this you get about 5-6 bonus missions and can play all the campaign missions co-op, you can also get 2 player missions as well which number around 6-7. On top of this you can unlock new ships to replay the missions in. It feels like a game that had a tiny budget and not enough time so for what it did it was good, the story really what do you expect? There are cutscenes here and there mostly at the end of each act, they're not that great but if you bought this game you get it for the gameplay not the story. The voice acting was pretty good, it made the story comparable to the movie it was promoting. But the best part is the ships, in the story you play in two ships, the Jedi Starfighter and a mercenary ship, the starfighter gets force powers and the mercenary ship gets special weapons, so the missions won't feel the same, on top of this you can get to use new ships, they're not like the typical reskin, most of them are similiar to the mercenary ship, sharing 3 weapons, but they have different blasters and main special weapon. Others don't have special weapons, the hardest to get isn't even that good but the best is the Freefall and Gunship. Full Review »

The voice acting on this game is absolutley terrible. The overall experience was very poor
