  1. Surprisingly, this game still manages to entertain, and is easily one of the best party games I still own.
  2. Give it time. Don't expect to love it if you're not a Tetris fan. But if you loved the original Tetris, then play this new addition for a while. Soon enough, you'll discover the beauty of the game.
  3. Tetris will always be fun. The question is whether you're willing to shell out $30 for the privilege. [Oct 2002, p.109]
  4. It's the same gameplay, a few little background changes, a customizable soundtrack option and a couple new modes mixed into a big pot.
  5. Offers several solid interpretations of the classic Russian mindbender, though there's little here that hasn't been seen before.

The intended visual and aural "improvements" to the GameCube and Xbox versions were a waste of time. Instead the gameplay should have been totally reworked.
  7. The biggest disappointment is the game's multiplayer mode; there's now way to send blocks or any manner of taunts to your opponent. For shame. [Fall 2002, p.121]
  8. Cutting edge software this is not, and when you consider that it’s a port of existing PS2 and GameCube games, you realise that this is a simple cash-in.
  9. If you are a die-hard Tetris fan, then Tetris Worlds will probably be right up your alley. For the rest of you, use your Xbox for something with a bit more kick.
  10. Even the inclusion of some new game variations (for Tetris anyways) cannot eliminate the feeling of having been here, done that, and seen everything there is to see many times before.

  1. If you love Tetris you might like this game, everyone else will be bored and want a more rewarding experience, this really isn't as fun as Tetris it's a huge disappointment, but again if you like Tetris you might like this but I doubt it you'll probably just want to stick with regular Tetris. This is the WORST tetris game ever created. How could they screw up a tetris game? you might ask... I know, you'd think it would be challenging not to put out a decent product when using such a tried and true franchise. But SP Software somehow did it. The scary part is that the Xbox version is the best of the 3. (It includes the option to not use a couple of their horrible additions to the game - the ps2 and gc games don't have the option).
