  • Summary: Charlie Croker and his gang are left for dead in Venice after being double-crossed during one of the biggest gold heists ever. You must take on the role of Charlie and his gang members in their quest for revenge and the gold. Based on the film, The Italian Job's story mode challenges you to create the largest traffic jam in LA history, and then escape in supercharged Mini Coopers. 1. Doesn't last long enough to feel like anything more than a bunch of tasty side dishes lacking a main course. [Sept 2003, p.81]
  2. If the game was a little bit harder, longer, and just better overall this would have been one of the best movie to game conversions in a while.
  3. While TIJ doesn't exactly fail on any given level, it certainly doesn't really over achieve either. Another movie, another bland game is released. The world continues on.
  4. The boring, repetitive, annoying missions will only frustrate you. If you must drive a Mini, buy the much better (and much cheaper) Italian Job on PS1. [Sept 2003, p.121]

Brilliant game, just too short, and no replay value a fan of the films will be a fan of the game.

This game is horrible. This is the kind of bland, unimaginative, and plain sucky game that makes you feel like you got ripped off, even though you only rented it. This game is almost as lame as those remote control cars with the wire. I'm about to go outside to use the game disc as a frisbee. Pointless. Collapse
