  • Summary: Mr. Burns is up to his greedy ways in Simpsons Road Rage, purchasing Springfield's busses and jacking up the fares. Now, Springfield residents must turn their cars into cabs and work the streets. Hopefully, making enough money to buy back the busses before the clock runs out. Choose from over 30 of your favorite Simpsons characters and brave the jam-packed streets of six huge levels, performing big-air and powerslide stunts. 1. A solid game in its own right, with gameplay that continues to entertain long after the novelty of driving around Springfield has worn off. [Dec 2001, p.105]
  2. A must for Simpsons fans, and is fun in short bursts, but this kind of game is better suited to the instant gameplay environment of the arcade. You might be miffed when you've seen all there is after a few hours of play.
  3. If you're a Crazy Taxi or Simpsons fanatic, this game will definitely appeal to you. If you don't care much about either, don't bother.
  4. Isn't that bad, but like the unpopular kid in school, it tries so hard to be something that it's not. In this case, it's trying to be "Crazy Taxi."
  5. If you enjoy The Simpsons and you enjoy driving like a maniac, you'll enjoy this game, for a while. But the gimmick gets way too old way too fast to be satisfying to even the most rabid fans of the show.
  6. One word, used by Homer throughout, best describes the action in Road Rage: "Bor-ing."
  7. The throwaway storyline, endless loading times, small environments and barely Dreamcast-quality graphics are instant turn-offs. [Jan 2002, p.230]

Decent game, worth playing at least once, but it doesn't have much replay value. The Simpsons are funny as always, but you will tire of the same catchphrases over and over. Overall I did enjoy this game, but you won't miss out on much if you choose to skip over it. I'll give it a 7 because it IS fun the first run through but it gets old quickly and it isn't superbly executed, there were definitely some bugs in there. Expand
