Gone are the days of the complex PC techniques used in other coaster games. Rather, Thrillville's easy to use building mode has been designed specifically for the console platforms and makes building all 75-plus rides from wooden, corkscrew and inverted coasters to merry go rounds, trains and carnival rides, easy, and most importantly, fun. Imagination is the only height limit with Thrillville, where the fun ranges from racing on go-kart tracks you put together and playing mini-golf on courses you designed to joining friends for dozens of four-player party games, from bumper cars to arcade shoot-'em-ups. You can also tour the park on foot - a first for theme-park titles - chatting and joking with all the guests to help them out and make sure they're enjoying themselves. Collapse

  1. Getting used to the controls for this game might take a little bit, but once you do and see everything in action you will really enjoy all that this game has to offer.
  2. It offers gamers a taste of just about every gaming genre out there and even finds a way to bundle them together and present them along with a light-hearted story.
  3. Aimed at pre-teens--some overly cutesy characters and patronizing narration make it a little too cloying for grown-up gamers--Thrillville hits its marks well on most fronts. [Jan. 2007, p.75]
  4. Talking with the guests is surprisingly engrossing. The dialogue options include an arsenal of cheap compliments and weird factoids, and the responses are often surprising.
  5. The character models are a little blocky and a little bit on the cartoony side; but they're innocent looking and play their roles adequately, [and] the look of the game could have been smoothed out a bit.
  6. Offers a metric ton of activities for you to engage in. The sheer variety is unheard of for this genre (on a console anyway), and it all works. That said, little of it is outstanding, and while all the pieces are in place, there isn't a single aspect of this game that will blow you away.
  7. It's just mediocre all around. [Jan. 2007, p.106]

What on earth is this? Dodgy level design and ripped off mini games is what.
