  1. It's bound to happen sooner or later. Critical Hour serves up an uninspired gameplay and dull visuals, which had all the signs of a rushed title.
  2. Critical Hour just isn't going to get much playtime from me anymore. It's fine to rent for a weekend, but you're doing yourself better by getting an Xbox 360 and playing "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter" in wait for "Rainbow Six: Vegas."
  3. The emphasis was put back on "one shot kills", but it is still too easy to run-and-gun with this level of enemy intelligence. Commanding squad mates is cool, but this just doesn't feel like the Rainbow Six we once knew.
  4. Even at its bargain price, the game is over way too quickly and the online multiplayer brilliance of past Rainbow Six games is a flawed experience in this game.
  5. Critical Hour, despite being the latest game in the series, takes several severe steps backwards in both graphics and audio technology, and the unpredictable enemy AI and target assist put this game more in the action genre than the tactical one.
  6. If you really love Rainbow Six, then rent the game because you'll blow through the game pretty quickly.
  7. Critical Hour is unenjoyable by even the most hardcore fans of the franchise, and should be ignored completely.
  8. It's a rush job, a disservice to the franchise, and its just not a very good game.
  9. Rainbow Six Critical Hour's brief campaign, poor presentation, and broken multiplayer make it almost impossible to recommend, even to longtime fans.
  10. Team Rainbow's colors have never looked so bad. [Jun 2006, p.85]

Ubisoft drops another turd. First GRAW for X-box and PS2 now Critical Hour. Ok Rainbow Six lockdown had a crappy single player with retarded a.i. and such. But it also had passable graphics and the multiplayer was decent. Critical Hour sucks all around. The graphics are ghastly and the old missions are ok but just not worth playing through because of the Rainbow six series usual problems. The a.i. is worse than usual, the graphics are worthless. Simply put the game is no fun but luckily the campaign is short. Ok so the online will be redeeming right? WRONG! The multiplayer is broken. There are numerous glitches and players can cheat to level up. The graphics obviously still suck. There are no redeeming factors for Critical Hour. Ubisoft is really leaving the current gen consoles with a band. At least they had the decency to charge less for this game but no amount of money is worth Critical hour. Keep playing Lockdown people. Lockdown was a great dissaopointment to many R6 fans, but this time Ubisoft gets it right and puts this stellar series back on track. I hear that the next R6 game will be closer to this one than to Lockdown and that's all I need to hear. I'll get it without hesitation. This one shreds! Full Review »

This game is worth a renta no morel, it's the same thing as lockdown, only this time your background has gone red..d'ah!. Graphics are simply bad, cheap. AI still dumb, always the same outfit, and what is going on with the clancy series? it's all a big let down...just a way to sucker in more cash. We need to stop encouraging bad games. Full Review »
