Generally unfavorable reviews - based on 10 Critics

Critic score distribution:
  1. Positive: 1 out of 10
  2. Negative: 6 out of 10
  1. An obvious attempt to cash in on the street racing craze by providing bargain-basement production values, unlicensed cars, and about as much excitement as a half-lit sparkler.
  2. There's no good reason on God's gray earth why anyone would want to play this street racing game when there are so many good ones available.
  3. The Xbox is not bereft of good racing games, and this one is just plain bad.
  4. 40
Street racing is a scene based on flash and presentation, and Top Gear RPM Tuning simply doesn't have the goods.
  5. Unless you are a fanatic of tuning and modding vehicles, steer clear of this mess.
  6. RPM Tuning isn't even worth a dumb racing joke about flat tires and blown engines. Please, Kemco: Stop. [May 2005, p.86]
