  1. It’s good, even fantastic at times, walking the line between reality and fantasy in a pleasant mix that’s really hard to put down once you start playing.
  2. Plagued with various imperfections, TransWorld Snowboarding does not rise above its problems to be an extreme sports title worthy of a snowboarding aficionado.
  3. Transworld Snowboarding is the girl who always shows up in the teen movies. She's the ugly one who's revealed to be a hottie once the pretty boy du jour spends some time with her. [Winter 2002, p.97]
  4. Solid in every aspect, with a few outstanding features (audio, some of the level designs).
  5. Frame rate gets choppy and detracts from the experience. [Jan 2003, p.66]
  6. Just sit back, switch your brain off, chill out and enjoy what is a fine snowboarding game.
  7. An epic adrenaline rush capturing the freedom and terror of 'boarding. [XGamer]
  8. An all-around solid game with some spectacular visuals and fun multiplayer modes.
  9. 76
A solid snowboarding experience, but it lacks the flash and pomp of a truly great game.
  10. 67
The game just has an overall unfinished feel. Add that to the ease of the game, limited tracks, and limited multi-player and the value decreases further.
  11. It's clunky, and some stages are just plain dumb. Transworld is just another log to toss on the fire. [Jan 2003, p.114]
  12. It really is one of the easiest games I’ve played. The problem is there is nothing in the game that’s quite spectacular enough to make up for it either.
  13. 80
While the game’s levels offer plenty of freedom, TransWorld Snowboarding itself sticks close to the established trail.
  14. 60
Given that there is no ability to create your own rider or play online, the feature set is substandard to other extreme sports titles on the market.

Nice mix between SSX nd Amped, it has the ease of control like SSX, and a bit more of the realistic feel of Amped. A bit rough around the Nice mix between SSX nd Amped, it has the ease of control like SSX, and a bit more of the realistic feel of Amped. A bit rough around the edges though, like sounds (not the music) and some textures. Full Review »
