Simply put, UFC is the most realistic fighting game ever. [Apr 2002, p.68]
Bloodier dustups there are, and faster moving ones too, yet for those who like their streetfighting with style, UFC Tapout hits harder than a bare-knuckle jab to the kidney.
Those looking for a deeper fighting engine will be happy, as will those who didn't want their strategic fighter over-done.
Limited single-player depth, as well as a few other minor issues, keeps UFC from being truly great.
It's a great title for hardcore UFC fans who are looking for authenticity and stripped bare chuddies minimalism, but for gamers who have been spoiled by a sea of options, moves, and thrills this is far too... skinny.
On one hand, it’s got quite a good structure and the technical style is impressive, but on the other it’s just not fun to play.
