  1. It's bigger and more ambitious than any of its predecessors, but XGRA is hindered by a few unfortunate technical and design issues.
  2. Gameplay is fast and furious which sometimes makes bike control a real shot in the dark.
  3. Besides finishing first in your races, you will have other contracted duties from your race team. You need to accomplish these deeds while traveling at the speed of sound. Every race will be something different.

Mind-boggling quick, XGRA is quite possibly the fastest entry in the futuristic racing subgenre - so fast that a lot of time is spent playing knock-hockey against barriers despite tight controls.

XGRA isn't as impressive as "Extreme G 3" was when it first hit PS2 and Cube. The graphics look roughly the same, it plays similarly, and it has the same main drawback: not enough tracks. [Nov 2003, p.174]
  6. 60
It's possible that the very touchy controls and high learning curve on many tracks may keep some players away, but there's a great racing engine here.
  7. Xbox Nation Magazine

    Mildly amusing. [Dec/Jan 2004, p.97]

Acclaim's latest manages to tick all the required futuristic race sim boxes, except the one titled 'memorable'. There's one really good thing about XGRA - it's all over very quickly. [Nov 2003, p.109]
  9. Game Informer

It's not that XGRA is bad per se, it's that the game has absolutely no soul. None. Zip. Zero. I have never played a game so devoid of personality. [Nov 2003, p.171]

This game is not as strong as it's prequel, Extreme G Racing 3 (what mastermind comes up with these game titles anyway?).
