Aside from a lack of originality, repetitive levels, and a dull-as doornails storyline and dialog, BottleRocket's game is a relatively solid little game that will satiate your lust for button-mashing brawling.

Xiaolin Showdown has the elements of a good game, but the execution is so sloppy and shallow that it ends up falling flat.
  3. Xiaolin Showdown relies on its multiplayer to facilitate replay value. Unfortunately, this game doesn't have any. The monotonous and all-too-easy button-mashing combat is so been there, done that it's not even remotely interesting.
  4. This simplistic brawler's condescending attitude and one-note gameplay make it worth dodging.
  5. Xiaolin Showdown is a bad game, plain and simple. In a genre where speed and chaos is an important part of gameplay, Xiaolin Showdown's fights are out and outright tedious.
  6. As a community, we must save the children...from mediocre cartoon-based cideogame adaptations like this one! [Holiday 2006, p.76]
  7. Nobody ever really gets hurt in the game, no one ever gets knocked out permanently in these battles and there's no real indicator that your getting hurt, hurting someone else or accomplishing anything.
