Play Magazine

The most realistic and technically advanced soccer game to date. It's almost too real. [Dec 2002, p.91]

GamePro

Totally revamped from the ground up, and it shows. Great graphics and the best gameplay the series has seen in years.

Nintendophiles

The games flows nicely, control is accurate enough so that you're never left cursing your on-screen players, and the overall look and feel is very strong.

GameSpy

The biggest change in 2003 is how the ball handles... The ball feels much more separated from the players now, and the control even reflects this.

IGN

While there's still plenty of room for improvement with a broader features set, FIFA 2003 is a superior game to "World Cup" that soccer fans should definitely check out.

TotalGames.net

A definite improvement on last year’s version and while it’s still some way from perfection, it is the best and only proper offering this Xmas.

Game Informer

At some point, being "the best soccer game in America" shouldn't be enough. [Dec 2002, p.130]

Cheat Code Central

One of those rare games that is actually improved in all aspects including the physics and the control scheme.

Overall, the developers seem to have put more emphasis on the presentation than on creating a deep and immersive gameplay experience.

Ryan K. gave it a 7:
I don't know what Keeper rush is and what team does David Beckham play on???? Otherwise it is the best soccer game ever.

Jose gave it a 9:
The game is very decent and jogability is excellent. However, other EA tittles like Madden are a little bit more careful in the formatting of cups and tournaments, like the impossibility of changing the orders of player games in a cup. The lack of a multiplayer worldcup (only available for 1 player team) is also a big minus

Jojo gave it a 2:
The ball control is ridiculously simplistic compared to 2002, a far superior game. In this version the computer does almost everything. For example shooting is done almost entirely done by the comp taking away all pride in good shots. I only hope they do a better job on 2004. For now Ill stick with 2002. A horrible game.

Antonio B. gave it a 10:
Woa this is the first soccer game I have enjoyed in my whole life.

Oscar B. gave it a 6:
Muy bonitos sus gráficos pero el control es penoso. Intentad cabecear un balón en vez de controlarlo. Es sencillamente INPOSIBLE.

Ale P. gave it a 7:
Good game good graphics but is not Winning Eleven!!!!! can be better!

Stephen the great gave it a 10:
This is coolest game i ever played. Beckham's hair is updated and the best is you can choose jerseys for which team.
