Game Informer
One of the only games to really succeed at incorporating multiple gameplay styles into one package and doing all of them well. [May 2002, p.85]
GameZone
Even though it is on the easy side, this game will keep Bond fanatics coming back till the next game.

Really fun!...In the end, this game is nothing like "Goldeneye." Thats a good thing in my opinion.

What really breathes longevity in Agent Under Fire is the bot support, something missing from the PlayStation 2 version.

It's not "GoldenEye," but I think Bond fans will find it has its own charm. It's absolutely a better version over its PS2 predecessor.

Don't expect "GoldenEye 007"--the first-person shooter levels are basic and require little stealth. It's the vehicle levels that are a blast. [Apr 2002, p.146]
All Game Guide
The biggest gripe is the missions aren't very long or difficult, even on the hardest setting. Enemies always appear in fixed locations, so players will be able to breeze through levels for the most part until the very end.

The game is severely crippled by awkward controls, inexplicable design decisions, and arcade-like sequences that reveals way too much about how to breeze though the twelve brief missions.

Electronic Arts has managed to capture the Bond ambience, due in no small part to the overuse of his theme music, but the single player experience, which is a very important part of a 007 title, is ultimately too simplistic for a super spy.

As far as the graphics are concerned, PS2 owners can be both jealous and egotistic. The Game Cube version features a hell of a lot less jaggies, as well as smoother looking characters, but there's some weird slowdown in a cinema or two, and the movies look a bit lower in quality.

A short game...its lackluster level design, poor enemy AI, and easy level of difficulty pile up to greatly detract from what it does offer.

While "GoldenEye" was the videogaming equivalent of "Citizen Kane," Agent is just another dumb Hollywood blockbuster.

The game world doesn't provide quite enough in the way of possible control schemes, so you're left with an awkward one no matter which you choose.

So, its a mixed bag then some great shooting and driving levels marred by the lacklustre fps sections.

I found the games uninspiring, difficult to control and choppier than Steak-Ums.

T. F. gave it an8:
This is a very worthwhile game. Fun and ingauging. I'm new to the Gamecube but I have so far not been disappointed.
Ryan K. gave it an8:
"AGENT UNDER FIRE" is perhaps the most action-packed 007 adventure, yet it lacks lethal and explosive dialogue, but this game is very good and once again, 007 is back!!!
Cubeoid gave it a 0:
I can't belive the scores you guys are giving this game. AUF is so bloody short and easy that it isn't even worth a rent. The AI is stupid, the weapons dull, the levels boring and the constant hints are a pain in the arse. And the multiplayer is not good. It stinks. It has bad level design and poor bot AI. Even with four players it still stinks so much you could choke to death in your living room.
Jake G. gave it a 10:
This game is amazing-- the variety of guns is cool, and the multiplayer mode takes it up to a higher level. Without the multiplayer, I would have rated it 7.5.
John G. gave it a 10:
T.Taboo, what are you on ? You obviously were crap at this game so called the game crap instead. This is a brilliant multiplayer game, I haven't had so much fun at my friends expense before. On the down side the single player lacks depth but is only a minor problem. Overall top game!
Eril D. gave it a 9:
I have it and it is my favorite game after rogue leader.
Kanwar D. gave it a 10:
It's wicked.
