Imaginative graphics and superb sound, a sprawling adventure packed full of neat touches and cool weapons, great humour and an accomplished multiplayer; Glitch embodies what games are really all about - challenge, entertainment and fun.

The detail spent on each and every droid is amazing, as are the physics applied, and the locales, from the underground tunnels to the ravaged cityscapes topside, are splendid. [Nov 2003, p.89]

1UP
Flat out, this is an amazing shooter. You can fight through over 50 levels, upgrade your weapons, take control of enemies, recruit enemies to help you fight, drive different types of tanks, and a lot more -- think "Ratchet & Clank" fused with "Halo."

Game Chronicles
A finely crafted, if unoriginal, sci-fi shooter. Every aspect of the game has quality shining through it. The single-player, basic story aside, is at heart a fun and enjoyable game. The same can be said about the multiplayer.

Whether you enjoy the humor aspect, the run and gun gameplay, or the fast and furious multiplayer, Glitch has a little something for everyone. The small details in the title and some of the innovations will keep you coming back for more, even if some of the gameplay is mindless repetition.

Of course, it could very much be sleeper hit of the year or the most underrated game of all time.

IC-Games
An atmospheric, intelligent and original shooter that is sure to be harshly overlooked by the majority of gamers, which is a pity considering the quality gaming on show. It’s enjoyable, challenging and exquisitely designed but is only let down by minor camera troubles and a difficulty level that may be a bit too hard.

It's a rare sighting of a beast that's increasingy hard to find in the wild: the pure third-person shooter. [Nov 2003, p.156]

It's not perfect, but it's got enough unique style to create thirst for a follow-up.

The gameplay is where it's at with a great, 40-mission single-player campaign and tons of multiplayer maps to unlock. Controlling Glitch is not in the least bit frustrating.

One of the most pleasant surprises of the year. It may not be as in-depth and dramatic as EA Games' Freedom Fighters, but it still holds up nicely in the entertainment department.

Though its balance is a little questionable at times, Metal Arms has quietly come onto the scene to offer one of the most visceral and most satisfying shooting experiences in quite a while.

The game successfully merges a light-hearted storyline with some seriously intense combat, a good measure of strategy and a fun multiplayer mode. Oh, and the weapons in this title are downright awesome, especially the tether control device.

Firing Squad
In many ways, Metal Arms feels built on a generic foundation, but the developers have done much to dress it up with great gameplay and genuine laugh-out-loud moments, making it one of the better choices in the action game category.

Also funny is some of the dialogue and one-liners. On the whole the audio portion of Metal Arms gets good marks – if not for being memorable, then for being perfectly suited to the game.

This is ballsy, brash, confident gaming at its best - a lesson in how games don't have to be perfect to be brilliant. [Christmas 2003, p.102]

Electronic Gaming Monthly
Easily a contender for sleeper hit of the year, providing an excellent mix of platform-style exploration and fast-paced, action-packed gunplay that manages to stay fresh and interesting throughout. [Dec 2003, p.199]

Gaming Age
It's a mix of Battlebots and Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots, with guns. The only thing dragging it down is the monotony in the later levels where the fighting starts to feel a bit old and the personality starts to wear off.

Online play could have done wonders for some of the repetition. But if you stick it out, you may be too drunk off the inebriating style and intense action to notice your 20th play-through. Metal Arms: Glitch in the System does what it does very well.

Highly entertaining and, above all, fun. Despite being filled with all manner of videogame cliches, Metal Arms somehow feels refreshingly new and not at all like the cobbled together title that it so undoubtedly is. [Christmas 2003, p.103]

Niko O. gave it a0:
Stupid game. Boring. Repetitive.

Rob D. gave it a 10:
This game has everything, it absolutly rules all! The only thing i can say that they could have done to make this game better is: more levels (theres alot but why not more!), more MIL bots that you can take controll of, more vehicles, and last, more weapons... but even without these, the game is awesome!

Gustavo C. gave it a 10:
A very solid shoot 'em-up action game. It is a very good game I recommend it.

Luke K. gave it a 10:
This game couldn't get any better. You blast through your enemies with 17 devistating weapons. What more could you want and it's not one of those games you can beat in a week. This game is tight.

Isaac D. gave it a 10:
Very good game I couldn't belive how cool the grafics where. I assure you this was the best game that ever came out.

Ben U. gave it a 10:
Great!

Chris O. gave it a 9:
Wonderful game. Controls are quite comfortable for a shooter on a console. Lot's of great weapons, especially the control tether. My advice: Don't let this great game slide by you in the holiday release shuffle.
