Summary
Bomberman Land Touch! 2 brings together 3 exciting game modes into one. The series introduces a bevy of mini-games, where most can be played in multiplayer mode. The PSP system and the DS versions both allow gamers to share one game cartridge and network with friends to create the ultimate party game. [Hudson Soft]

Few DS titles on the shelves right now can compare to the addictive (and often nostalgic) delights found in BLT2. The playability stands as an example of how DS touch games should be made.

Online play is stupendous. [Issue#21, p.85]
Cubed3
The core Story Mode and the various mini-games contained therein are mildly enjoyable diversions for a time, but what you're likely to really want to sink you're teeth into is the classic Battle Mode and its excellent online support.

While not exactly a revolution, Bomberman Land Touch! 2 is a worthy successor to a worthy title, with a credible single-player mini-game campaign and a truly superb range of multiplayer options.

Bomberman Land Touch 2 does exactly what it needs to do, lets you bomb your way through various mini-games and an insanely fun battle mode for a pretty modest price.

There aren't many multiplayer party collections that offer this much bang for the buck.

You'll find enough options and maps to keep you happy, the best part definitely being the eight-player support with one cart. Slightly less cool is the four-player support via Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection, though it's tough to complain.

A great game and a big success. The sheer variety of mini-games on offer and their usage of the touch screen in a multitude of ways makes the single player fun and the multiplayer mode a real joy to play, locally or online.

As a standalone package, Bomberman Land Touch! 2 is a wholly recommended Nintendo DS game: the mini-games are fun, the adventure is fulfilling, and the multiplayer support is an absolute blast. But for those who've already fronted the thirty bucks for the original game, it might be a harder sell.

Offers plenty of minigames (attractions) in Story Mode. They are clever enough to make a fun gaming experience for quite a while. The use of stylus is essential and adds up the the pleasure. The original style Bomberman is included as Battle Mode. More complex puzzles, twists in the plot and less one dimensional characters would have made this a gem instead of just a jolly nice game. Compared to the horrid Wii-version this is a masterpiece though. [May 2008]

I did enjoy this game, but overall it was just a bit too shallow. It reminded me of playing any Mario Party title all by my lonesome.

Bomberman Land Touch! 2 is something of a glorified update, albeit to an admittedly still enjoyable game that benefits greatly from competitive online play.

Too similar to the first agame but it's a simple and engaging adventure. [May 2008, p.85]
Eurogamer
There's a good day or so's simple, colourful fun in there for those who can stomach Bomberman's sugar-coated world.

Some ten mini-games that might entertain you for a while but fail to offer something new when compared with the previous game. But, of course, it’s the Battle mode with up to eight players that will provide all of the fun. [May 2008]
GameZone
This game is a solid collection of mini-games with a complete Story Mode and addictive multiplayer; it’s just more of the same, however, and in need of a facelift.

Bomberman Land Touch! 2 is just like its predecessors. Very enyoable. The story mode is mostly the same as the first game in the series. The combination of the classic Bomberman-mode and a online option guarantees us of hours of play.

Bomberman Land Touch! 2 proves that deception truly is a sly creature.

The action is solid, and there are plenty of maps and options (including Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection play), but there's little that series fans haven't seen before. [Feb 2008, p.88]
games(TM)
If you own any of the three previous Bomberman DS titles – or indeed any Bomberman game since the first SNES Super Bomberman – then the only new experiences on offer here are found in the mini-games and story. [May 2008, p.122]
Gamestyle
If you have no other way to play Bomberman then by all means pick this up for the online modes, otherwise it is best left on the shelf.

Anonymous C. gave it a7:
Fairly standard snes-like action-rpg style gameplay. Think Secret of Mana, but with bombs. Leveling up provides extra bombs and explosion radius, and ability to kick bombs, etc. Quite a few different bomb types. The more monsters you kill with a single explosion, the more bonus XP you get, so maximizing that is pretty fun. The story line is fairly weak, the gameplay is fairly good, and the minigames are rather infrequent (and not really that good).
