Chronos Twins plays on the concept of time travel in a reassuringly unique manner as it is interwoven as a main game play element. To successfully complete levels, players maneuver through an area and work within the limitations of each time period in a side-scrolling environment. The goal is to control both the present-time hero while exploring the planet to defeat alien threats. Both time periods are fully visible through a split-screen engine that displays the past and present versions of the exact same location. [Lexicon]

It can be a frustrating and arduous game at times. Death is frequent, and it doesn't readily do much to sustain its appeal when - or if - it clicks, but it's a neat idea worth checking out, especially at its budget price point.

With the exception of its presentation, Chronos Twin is a solid experience. It has a unique concept and challenging gameplay. If you’re keen for a different platform game, its worth checking out.

It’s one of those games where you’ll turn the DS off once you die and then go back to the game about two minutes later as it’s infuriating but addictive

Chronos Twins is an intriguing concept thwarted by a vertical difficulty curve. Worth a look for the novelty, and it'll be a long time before you polish it off, but it's a better idea than it is a game.

Worth Playing
The retro look, the insanely difficult gameplay and the dual-screen madness in Chronos Twin make for an interesting challenge. If you like challenges, then you'll absolutely love Chronos Twin, as the complex combination of puzzles, shooting and boss battles will keep any avid gamer busy. Those of us who haven't been blessed with three sets of eyes, four thumbs and cheetah-like reflexes, however, should think twice before approaching this title.

Chronos Twin is a challenging title and will perhaps appeal to those will a masochistic streak. However, there is little pay-off for your efforts.

The changes added to continuing levels include more obstacles and enemies, on rails levels with enemies chasing after you, and rather easy bosses. All these elements you could expect from any other shooter, but there is not the polished formula that you would expect from a game of a genre with a long history.

Lala Lalala gave it a9:
Very good game. Very different to the other ds games. Something unique, not perfect, but very good.

Robert gave it a0:
Very, very bad game. I already wasted my money, but don't waste yours. Broken gameplay, this game has clearly not been tested prior to release. Badly written English, bad graphics, bad music. I hate it. By far, the worst DS game I have ever tried. And payed for it *sigh*. Playing on two screens sounded right to me, but I just can't see both screens at a time. Nobody tried this idea before asking for money. Go ahead and buy a better game like Zelda.
