I guess I'll have to revert to my own personal memories of raising horses and when I didn't have an evil taskmaster yelling at me for how I clean a stall! This one comes out the gate strong, but stumbles on the jumps.

It's uneventful, with overly simple graphics and gameplay, and the lack of visual feedback you get whilst playing merits packing both horse and cartridge off to be 'put to sleep.' [Feb 2007, p.83]

IGN
Horsez is unfocused, doing a lot of things poorly instead of anything well.

Kristy W. gave it a3:
This game is awful, but addicting at the same time! I am 18 years old and I borrowed this from my 10 year old cousin, because I love horses but can't have one of my own. Anyway... I had to do the first week over again 3 times.... The little 'trade sequence' for the stationary seems like it was added as an after thought... It was like the makers said "how can we make it take even longer to get the stationary than it does now?" (Ginger walks EXTREMELY slowly) I hate it that the only way you can costomize Ginger is to change the color of her hair and the colors of her clothing, the style of clothing doesn't change. I also don't like that you can't choose your character's gender or name.... or even skin color... I AM a white female, but I would like to see a bit of customization. The computer characters are extremely flat personality wise... There is a boastful jerk who thinks he's a ladies man, there is a girl who has trouble with the horse work because she has so many Photo's to take for college, there is another girl who knows the same girl you do and there is a shy guy... That's IT... Those are the only one's you can talk to... And you can't even pick your own responses, you just have to watch the convo play out... I agree about the task master, even if you do the best you can, he still only says if was satisfactory.... The horse is easy to annoy/hurt and that takes away points.... he is especially easy to hurt when you are picking his hooves, even when you are doing what you are supposed to be doing, you still hurt him... and you can't clean his head at all or it annoys him and takes away points. The Foal is immpossible to hoof train and the tire game would be impossible for anyone to do well unless they had the hand-eye coordination of a cat, because I still can't get it. I disagree about the planning, although I wish you could change it once the week is started... I like planning out what I want to do with the horse. There is one thing that I really hate though... Is when you are in a contest, the time limit is too short and you HAVE to gallop your horse to get TO the jumps because they are so far apart, but Galloping him makes him unhappy, which takes away "Horse Points" So you wither have to not gallop him and go over on time or Gallop him and make him mad at you.

Horsez is such a COOL GAME! Its so awesome for ppl who are totslly in love with Horsez. I need some help though because I cant get past the bit in the chat room where you have to get Antonie out of his room its hard. PS to get ur horse to quit bucking you take the jump STRAIGHT on.

Corrina T. gave it an8:
Much better then Catz. so much more to do! In a nutshell, the best out of this series (hamterz life is strange. Catz really repetitive. Dogz is a run-off of Nintendogs but worse).

Ben W. gave it a6:
Horsez has some flaws, but I think they can be overlooked by people who don’t mind virtual pet games, all of which are built entirely on simple, repetitive tasks. An adventure mode is rare for this kind of game. And while it’s interesting enough to justify the time spent playing it, but there isn’t much beyond Ginger’s trials to keep you playing. Horsez may teach a thing or two about equestrianism, and is a definite must have for people interested in horses. However, if you or someone you know is into smaller, cuter animals, there are better games on which to spend your money.

Ad home gave it a9:
It is very good but I can't get past lvl week 3 and cant go into chat room my horse keeps on bucking me off when jumping it is very frustrating and am getting quite annoyed!

Samantha gave it a10:
WOW this is a great game I may not have a horse but this mack me fill like I have a horse I is the best horse game ever.

Stephanie Z. gave it a10:
WOW! this game is great, I love it! I am horse mad and this game is fab, you get to ride a horse and care for it. Its one of the best horse games out and I recommend it to anyone who loves horses and horse riding!
