All in all, Prism: Light the Way provides a large amount of entertainment in a simple and easy to pick up package.

But for those looking for a puzzle game that’s a bit off the beaten path, and that isn’t simply another Tetris or Bejeweled clone, it fits the bill perfectly. Don’t let this hidden gem pass you by.

A clever, original and sweet puzzler that stands out, even on DS. [Dec 2007, p.85]

Cheat Code Central
Prism makes good use of the DS's stylus. It's used to move around the various mirrors, splitters, and prisms, as well as the Glowbow light sources. All commands are solid and inspire confidence.

Prism is unfortunately 10 bucks too much for a must-buy puzzler at its $30 price point, but it's an addiction that's totally worth tracking down if the concept piques your interest and you're looking for a challenge.

Gamers' Temple
Prism is certainly different than other puzzle games out there, which is nice to see considering all of the cloning that goes on in the genre. However, Prism just seems to be missing that indescribable something that makes a puzzle game addicting.

This game is a test of logic, pushing players to figure out how to channel beams of light to specific targets. [Dec 2007, p.157]

Gaming Age
A nifty little title. It's light, fun, but it's more a diversion than a primary game. However, if a puzzle fix is needed in short bursts here and there, it's hard to go wrong with Prism.

IGN
A good puzzle marred by a silly, sloppily established alien universe and a bland set of early levels.

Prism: Light the Way is a classic game of single-screened, piece-manipulating puzzle-solving. [Nov 2007, p.76]

Prism is a refreshing puzzle game on the DS, and a nice break from the various block-based puzzlers we've been playing the last few years. Sadly, there's just something about it that doesn't make most people want to keep going.

PRISM: Light the Way is a casual puzzler with some fun elements and easy-to-grasp play, although the game is best played in short bursts in order to break up the monotony.

The puzzles are creative, but quickly grow repetitive. More so, Prism's presentation seems to have gotten very little love from the developers, and players can expect to see the same relatively dark visuals throughout the entire game.

Digital Entertainment News
While it doesn’t have the same kind of fast-paced fun as Meteos or Planet Puzzle League, Prism: Light the Way still has some unique gameplay that will appeal to puzzle fans looking for a more slow-paced game of logic and spatial reasoning. At least, so long as they don’t mind the cutesy character designs and hideously saccharine music.

We got a fair amount of play out of Prism--at times it was tough to put down--but the fact is, you won't be able to stick with it for more than a short time.

This isn't the brightest puzzle game you'll ever play, but it's a quality distraction in short bursts.

Prism Light the Way has an interesting premise, and there are plenty of gameplay options to choose from, however it doesn’t grab you and make you want to forego the rest of your life for just one more puzzle.

Ease of using the touch-screen aside, it's something we'd prefer to flick to on the mobile while on the bus rather than dedicate the DS slot to. Nevertheless, it fulfils its puzzling duties.

My peaceofminDS gave it an8:
This is a breath of fresh air for the puzz crowd! I played this all day and was completely addicted. Starts getting mindbending around the 3rd world. This game should have been titled "illuminatinglobos".working with light, prisims, and mirror placement to get the right color light spectrum to illuminate the little light starved globos is totally original and fun in my book. Dont let the colorful cutesy box art throw you off of this mindbending classic puzzler. thinking man type game will have you stumped. The other gem from secret stash is "nervous brickdown". this is what I like to see. games that are fresh and original. kudos for eidos!
