Summary
Combine the elite weaponry and acrobatic skills of Rianna with the multifunctional defensive and slicing support of Zeeo to create a formidable team. Only by working together can you complete perilous missions and ultimately steal the plans for the Death Star. From the chaotic planet of Coruscant to the dusty, dangerous alleys of Mos Eisley, Rianna and Zeeo must use an arsenal of tricks to complete their mission. Set up holographic disguises to fool Imperial guards, commandeer gun turrets, master death-defying flying escapes and battle carnivorous beasts. First original Star Wars game built exclusively for handhelds: Multiplayer modes enhance collaborative gameplay while taking advantage of the unique capabilities of both the PSP system and Nintendo DS. Your mission takes you to classic destinations such as the Death Star and Tatooine, and allows you to discover never-before-seen locations on Despayre, Danuta and Alderaan. Each new environment offers encounters with unforgettable Star Wars characters and species, including Boba Fett, Kyle Katarn, Princess Leia Organa, Darth Vader, Imperial officers, Rodians, Quarren and stormtroopers. Game Chronicles
Lethal Alliance took me back to the days of the Nintendo 64. The third person perspective reminded me of my glory days with Shadows of The Empire. The sound of that laser blaster brought back many fond memories.

Provides slightly generic, predictable platform action but has enough variety and class to stand up to scrutiny. So much so that those not into Lightsabers might have fun. [Feb 2007, p.68]
GameSpot
It takes a while to shift into high gear, but once it does, Star Wars: Lethal Alliance offers an enjoyable mix of shooting, puzzle-solving, and platforming.

The battles are fun, but not very significant in the overall Star Wars universe. [Feb. 2007, p.96]
GamingTrend
There are several good ideas in Lethal Alliances; it's just a shame they get buried under poor gameplay design choices.

While not the most challenging game, Lethal Alliance hits its mark in appealing to the widest possible range of Star Wars gamers new and old.

Lack of customizability, blah story and predictable AI make for something of a dull single player campaign, but what's there for multiplayer is solid. Fans of Star Trek will undoubtedly find things to like about this game, but fans of space sims might give it a cold reception.

The annoying camera, easy to solve puzzles, and not exploiting the droid enough really knocked down the score here.

Unlike the PlayStation Portable version which manages to be entertaining despite its flaws, Star Wars: Lethal Alliance on Nintendo DS is as laughable as it is frustrating.

The security mini-games are inscrutable, due to poor instructions and confusing interfaces.

Another victim of the quickie DS action blues. The star isn't very likeable, it's not much fun to play, and it's as ugly as a Jack-o-Lantern on January 9th.

The Lethal Alliance of uninspired third-person shooting and dull platforming elements pretty much dooms the newest Star Wars game. [Feb 2007, p.44]
IGN
It's extremely rigid and straightforward, and the game does way too much hand-holding during the action. The only time players will find themselves stuck in a level will be due awful tutorials rather than challenging gameplay.

Hand-held technology may be perfectly capable but this game has little of the humour, adventure and excitement you would expect from that galaxy far, far away.
The story is a bit bland and uninteresting (really, Jedi Knight did it so much better), and while the inclusion of new characters is a nice change, it'd be better to see them come to life in a more entertaining fashion than Lethal Alliance offers.
