Summary
(Currently available in JPN/UK/EU only; Also known as "Tingle RPG") Nintendo's Mogitate Tingle no Barairo Rupee Land pits Tingle, the hyperactive sprite and sexually ambiguous from The Legend of Zelda series, against the cruel forces of economics as he strives to amass untold wealth.

This is a game that somehow combines the detailed adventures of yesteryear with the post-modern meanderings of WarioWare. The combination is one that should be a complete mess, but for some strange reason works really rather well.

It doesn't compare to Link's adventures, either in style or quality, but Tingle's bizarre quest makes for a unique and intriguing RPG with an emphasis on chatting rather than fighting. [Mar 2007, p.90]
NGamer UK
Weird, funny-ish and fairly attractive without actually being in any way endearing. [Dec 2007, p.58]
NintendoWorldReport
Aside from the variation in tasks, though, the game really is quite simple and extremely linear.

Not actually bad, not all that great either. Inventiveness has rarely been so bland. [Dec 2007, p.78]
Zentendo
A unique spin on the Zelda franchise, but the gameplay at points is very redundant and tedious.

It's also hilariously flawed for a number of reasons - perfect for its future cult classic status, then.

Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland's simplistic, repetitive gameplay and annoying negotiation system get in the way of what is otherwise a classy piece of Tingle fan service.

Freshly-Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland is a simple role-playing game that tries to freshen up the genre, but doesn't come up smelling of roses.

The harsh nature of Freshly-picked’s ‘gimmick’ - bartering - is its downfall.

As clumsily as Freshly Picked is constructed, there are few titles as refreshingly ugly. [Dec 2007, p.97]
games(TM)
Despite all its eccentricities - such as the builder who likes nothing more than to thrust in Tingle's direction - it's essentially a standard RPG. Still, it's so bizarre at times that you'll warm to it anyway. [Christmas 2006, p.137]
Total Video Games
Thankfully, Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland hasn't been developed by Nintendo's best, but a rather obscure Japanese developer known as Vanpool (I feel a little easier dishing out the criticism now). Perhaps in creating such an ugly, frustrating, mess of a game, Nintendo are trying to highlight the dangers of greed and gluttony... or perhaps it's just the rare occurrence of a bad game sporting the Nintendo name.

Despite this problem with the bartering system Freshly Picked is an entertaining, journey in to the twisted and shallow world of Tingle.
Forgetting the Zelda license, Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland is a relatively easy RPG with tedious gameplay, rudimentary combat and a bartering system that'll have you tearing your hair out. And yet for some reason the game's charm, gorgeous look and flashes of inspiration put a smile on your face.

Marco B. gave it a6:
Good graphics and sound but slow gameplay, too much grind e not enough challenge. The game is actually quite good and funny in his own way but it is laid down by repetition. It lacks the sparkle of the Zelda series.
