G4 TV

Madden NFL 2002 not only plays an incredibly deep and solid game of football, but it showcases the system's versatility for handling a fast-paced sports simulation.

Nintendojo

Its game play is just sick and that’s combined with some fine graphics and awesome off field depth.

GameSpot

As great a game of football as nearly any fan of the series could hope for, and while it focuses on technical and simulation elements a bit more than the other games on the market, the game stays true to the Madden name.

Cloudchaser

The worst thing about this game is that saving a season fills up every last inch of space on the ill-named Memory Card 59.

Gaming Age

If you have the PS2 version of the game, it may not be money well spent trying to gain some visual improvements at the cost of some game speed and a more convoluted control scheme.
