GameCube Europe
A whole new level in FPS gaming and I think everyone should get it. It is better than both "Goldeneye" and "Perfect Dark," and even better than "Halo."

What really stands out about Time Splitters 2 is not the gobs of stuff theyve thrown in, but that each gob is so well crafted.

The game is lightning fast, smoother than silk and chugs along like a Maserati at 60 frames per second. Yipes, was all I could say the first hour of play.

The best shooter since "GoldenEye." [Oct 2002, p.193]
GamerWeb Nintendo
The level to which you can control and customize the game is astounding and when you couple that with the easy to use MapMaker you'll see why TS2 may just be the best console FPS of the year.

One of the best first-person shooter games ever. The only major flaw I can find with the game is the lack of online support.

A challenging single-player, stupidly addictive multiplayer and a whopping great lifespan. [NGC]

It's better than "GoldenEye," "Perfect Dark" and "Turok" and ranks right up there with "Halo" on Xbox.

So many play styles can only translate into one thing -- boundless replay value.

With an improved story mode, loads of additional features and easy to learn controls, TimeSplitters 2 moves you past the trouble of having to learn complex rules and gets you right to the heart of the matter: fragging your enemies.

Overall, TimeSplitters 2 has a great deal to offer anybody willing to put in the time and effort to gather the bonus features, and offers a lot of replayability afterwards.

May very well be the best split-screen multiplayer-focused first-person shooter ever created.

With the sad Story mode, you're left having slightly more meat than the original, but that isn't enough to make this an out and out must-have. [Dec 2002, p.128]
Play Magazine
A basic first-person shooter with the action quotient set on full throttle, but everything about TimeSplitters 2 is handled skillfully and stylishly, pieced together with a scintillating polish. [Nov 2002, p.64]
Electronic Gaming Monthly
A great multiplayer romp that will keep you and your friends glued to the set for months to come. [Dec 2002, p.236]
Entertainment Weekly
While the environments are beautiful, the hackneyed time-travel story line feels shoehorned into the experience... [which] ends up feeling a bit half-baked. [4 Oct 2002, p.158]

This game is frikkin' beautiful. The multi-player facet is amazing, especially since there are billions of modes. The story is quite good ass well (it was the first game I saw tat added more mission objectives as you increased the mission difficulty level). very stylish graphics and great music. Dude, this pwns Halo and everything else!!!
Jamie gave it a10:

Alexander M. gave it a10:
To Dan: Dan clearly you are mad at the point that you can't beat the level the Atom Smasher. That is the point of the Game! It's realy hard! But you need to pratice more. I have beaten it after replaying it over 30 times. But the more you pratice the better you get. Now the hardest level in any game that I have ever played is the Robot Factory (on hard mode). My brother and I have never faced a level so hard in our game playing lives. So just because it puts up a great fight to me and my brother, I give it a 10 out of 10
Ricky O. gave it a10:
Brilliant single player levels with loads of character and short bursts of fun. 130 characters to unlock and one of the best multiplayer games of all time. (4player is only beat by Future Perfect). The closest thing to Goldeneye that we'll ever see. I absolutely love Timesplitters 2. It is the best shooter ever. It is a fast paced game with so much extra stuff and game modes. It is not better than the Halos but it's still good. I have had it for a while and there is still more extras to unlock. This game is a must have.
Clayton gave it a10:
The 100% absolute best game I have ever played period.
