Summary
Nintendo has boldly gone where only cows and Bandini have gone before. This controversial M-Rated classic features a corn-loving pile of crap with an affinity for opera and revolutionary pee stream technology. Need I say more?

Now hold on to your colons and prepare to experience one of the craziest, dirtiest, most offensive 3-D platformers you've ever seen - and be ready to laugh your a** off every step of the way.

It's a brilliantly bizarre, insanely fun 3D-platformer extraordinaire, and a wonderfully ironic swan song for the N64.

You will almost never get tired of playing Conker, as there are few tedious spots in the game. BFD terrifically spoofs such movies as "The Matrix," "Saving Private Ryan," "A Clockwork Orange," "The Untouchables," "Alien," "Star Wars," "Dr. Strangelove," and more.

It absolutely is the best looking, sounding, and playing N64 game. It should not be missed.

A spectacularly creative, wonderfully satisfying 3D action-platformer that -- ass joke and bloody messes encapsulated -- shines with Nintendo's very best.

Theres poo humor galore, but theres also sly satire, clever parody and deep belly-laughs aplenty. To say nothing of the challenging gameplay, engaging storyline and whacked-out characters.

It is one of Nintendo 64s most fun and hilarious games of all time. Not only does the game have one of Nintendo 64s best Single Player experience it also is home to one of the most addicting, and again hilarious Multiplayer games ever created.

Wonderful. While raunchy (at times to the point of stomach turning) and offensive to nearly anyone, you have to understand it's all in good fun.
GameSpot
The premise of the game is gimmicky, but after its sordid skin is peeled away, a true gem of a 3D platformer is revealed.

You can't help shake the feeling that Rare threw offensive material into the game merely for the sake of offending. Once you get over your initial shock at so much swearing, you'll find a competent game with great humor hidden among all the fart jokes.

If you own an N64 and are of legal age, pick this game up immediately. It is the most fun I've ever had with a platform game, and it's also one of the most challenging.
GameShark
Quite possibly is the best N64 game ever. Forget "Golden Eye," "Perfect Dark," and "Zelda"...they don't even compare to Conker's.

Witty, knowing, referential, and above all supremely playable, Conker is an absolute corker.
Games Radar UK (Pre-2006)
Think what you like about the exploding cows, obsession with poo and constant profanity, but this is witty with it, and there's not one point where you'll find the game's programmers being rude without a sense of humour.

A game published by Nintendo where players avoid globs of feces and urinate on flaming demons is something that simply has to make you laugh.
Electronic Gaming Monthly
"We're mature!" No, you're not. You're just a fun action/shooter/junior-high simulator. [Jan 2004, p.189]
Gaming Age
Since the game is relatively short (under 10 hours for most players), I have to wonder if Rare didn't try to compensate for this shortcoming by making some of the areas insanely difficult to beat.

Makes you chuckle and drives you to keep playing. I would have liked some deeper action or at least a longer experience, but this is still certainly worth the investment. Now where did I put that Bloody Mary mix?

Paul W gave it an8:
There weren't many shades of grey for this game ratings, aren't they? Nearly all 10s or 0s. It is now November 2008- my personal opinion is that parts of this game are too difficult, most notably the Terminator-style boss and meeting the Tediz. Banjo Kazooie still remains a more magical game to me but Conker's Bad Fur Day still took a distinct direction- keeping it simple in terms of what you need to collect (mainly just cash). But was an offshoot into a Saving Private Ryan spoof necessary for this particular game ?

Great Game, but the language could have been better.
Jonny B. gave it a10:
This game makes you laugh your ass off every step of the way. it is not a childish game like veryone thinks with bad language. its more than that. all i hope for this year is a sequel to keep it going.
Benjamin B. gave it a10:
Funniest game ever. people who give it a 0, have absolutely no sense of humour and ironie.
Jordan S. gave it a10:
This is a great game, and fun as hell. The game realy deserves an 11 or 12! I am 13 and I beat it in less than a week! If you gave this game lower than a 7, and knew what to expect, such as swearing, you are not mature enough to play it! If you have a N64 and an X box, and only got the X box version, you had better go out and get it for N64. It is just not the same with X box. They added in new parts, and removed some parts! I beat the X box version with my dad! Hard and boring! They should have made an entirely different game on it!

This is the best game on nintendo 64. If ur mature enough to take some swearing and gory.I think multiplayer is the best part. Stealing the flag from the teddys (since i like being on the squirrels team) and then bringing it back to your castle to win! I personally like squirrels better even tho they seem easyer to shoot with there big fluffy tails. The teddys are cool but they look to scary.
Michaek L. gave it a10:
This is the best game ever. It has the best multiplayer ever and the best story mode its better than most movies. I got live and reloaded but its multiplayer sucks ass. The story mode is good but it just doesnt seem quite the same as bad fur day.
