Game Fan
But if you're looking for more than a distraction for the kids, a learning tool perfectly disguised as a game, then consider Nintendo's Hey You, Pikachu!.
GameSpot
Once you give it a closer look, Hey You, Pikachu! is a highly addictive game that both children and adults can enjoy.

Hey You, Pikachu is bright and saccharine, the videogame equivalent of a "Brady Bunch" marathon with a pre-sugared cereal chaser.
Nintendojo
After forcing myself to play it through, I must admit the game has some positive qualities -- just not enough to endear it to anyone over the age of 9.

I'd rather be out mixing cement than having to deal with this control scheme.

This is a novelty. Granted, for all it's limitations, the technology does work, but this really is something for the little ones.

Hinging on a technological gimmick and the Pokémon license, the game falls well short of the standard set by previous Pokémon titles.
Electronic Gaming Monthly
The game where yelling at the television is actually productive. [Jan 2004, p.189]
Gaming Age
I had a difficult time even playing this game for more than half an hour. It's simply so boring and mundane that I can't see anyone over the age of 10 enjoying this game.

If there were some kind of branch progression throughout the game that allows you to train your Pikachu instead of just playing peek-a-boo with it, this game might have been a little more tolerable.

Even if you dig Pikachu's act, the "game" is ultimately a spirit-crushing, mind-numbing exercise in tedium.

Pika? Chu! gave it an8:
A heck of alot of fun... when Pikachu listens. When he doesn't, its a pain in the rear. Also, if you lose the MIC, or it wears out, thats it. The games garbage then. Other than that, a rewarding experiance. Just be careful with the MIC.
Kyndrel D. gave it a10:

Rai Shadow gave it an8:
Round, fat, cute, adorable, marshmallowish, electric... what more could I ask for?
Andrew C. gave it an 8:
The technology these days is amazing. It kind of gets annoying when Pikachu doesn't listen though. Forget annoying! It's just plain aggrivating! Don't get this unless you are a virtual pet fan.
Ryan M. gave it a 0:
The voice activating is creative, but this game really does just plain suck. Terrible gameplay. I was just about ready to chuck the TV out the window and shoot at it repeatedly with my shotgun. This game has absolutely no point other then to make people cry. Absolute horror. The only way this game could get a 10 is if it is used as an Osama Bin Laden Torture device.
Matthew B. gave it a 10:
Very good game to play.
