Gaming Maxx

Simply put, this is the best Turok game yet and second only to "Perfect Dark" as a first person shooter.

CNET Gamecenter

Easily the best in the series and one of the best first-person shooters on the system.

89

Nintendojo

It offers a different experience than "Perfect Dark" and "TWINE" and Turok 3 is worth a look.

Antagonist -- Ant.com

If you already have "Perfect Dark" and want something a little less cerebral, take a look at Turok 3.

Happy Puppy

A shining example of excellent game design...Plus, it sets new standards for blood spilling in a single sitting.

Gaming Age

It might still have that infamous bumpy frame rate, but basically the game is a great amount of fun, and ranks up there with "Perfect Dark" and "GoldenEye" in terms of best first person shooters on the machine.

Spank!

It's still a decent blast in it's own right, just that it had potential to really excel and be top of it's class so it's a tad disappointing to see it falling short of that.

Hot Games

Multiplayer is just as frenetic as always, including 8 modes from the classic Monkey Tag to Capture the Flag.

GamePro

With tons of multiplayer options, cool new technological levels, and two slightly different characters to try, the new "Turok" should offer enough to keep you busy when you're tired of "Perfect Dark."

GameSpot

"Turok 3" isn't the most beautiful or detailed addition to the series, but it plays the smoothest.

netjak

It is leagues beyond its predecessors and I found myself fully engrossed in it. Its sharp graphics, diverse weapons and level design, and high replay value make it a very strong title despite its weak AI and frustrating moments.

Daily Radar

Easily the most straightforward and action-packed Turok yet, "Shadow of Oblivion" corrects the mistakes of previous games, making for a fun-filled and exciting journey through places not seen before in the series.

74

IGN

"Turok 3" features a grotesque, twisted storyline, as opposed to the more toned down storyline that the original "Turok" had, and it almost seems like they were trying too hard to make the game fit in with other first-person shooters.

Games Radar UK (Pre-2006)

You could do a lot worse than re-visiting the first two Turoks and forgetting all about this half-hearted and dispiriting finale to what has been one of the best-loved franchises on the N64. A shame.

Core Magazine

Murky, poorly defined graphics, an atrocious frame rate and terrible level design culminate to produce a title almost completely lacking in entertainment value whatsoever. Avoid like the black death.

George gave it a3:
This is awful. The gameplay is absurd, with the requirement to repeat actions entirely after every death. Virtually unplayable.

Roland L. gave it a 6:
Lacking!
