Summary
BASE jump through a floating city, creating your own stunts to delight your fans. You dive off a skyscraper, relying on quick reflexes to negotiate the intricate tangle of girders that make up the floating city. All eyes are on you as the judges mark your score. One hundred points for hugging those exposed struts as you fall. A thousand for planting a kiss on the side of that building. Twisting and turning, you thread the needle between two billboards, earning cheers from your fans. But while reflexes are important, it's quick thinking that gets you the win. One block away, you spot a crowd of protesters decrying your sport, and make a split second decision. You break off course, stare them straight in the eye, and flip them the finger. They explode into a burst of fury, but the judges absolutely love it, bumping you up to first place. Now all you have to do is to make that landing without ending up a loose sack of broken bones. The Onion (A.V. Club)
But most of all, Aaaaa! scores on style. From the made-up lingo to the flirty backtalk and insider gags, it plays like an underground skating or Parkour flick—but one that’s made for an imaginary sport instead of a real one.

Aaaaa! is a must for any self-respecting armchair thrill-junkie and one of the best indie games of the year.

An out in left field gem, it's a blast to play, and its odd side experiences and thrilling levels will bring back a feeling of pure fun that games use to be about.

Let's face it, Base Jumping is out of the comfort zones for most of us, but Aaaaa! presents a thrill-inducing, skill-testing rush of a game that everyone should try.

Apart from food, clothing, bills, medical care, transportation, art supplies, or a donation to a cause of your choice, I can't think of a much better way to spend $15 this month.

A cortisol-inducing, insane trip into almost certain death. You'll love it. [Issue#26, p.57]
Armchair Empire
Never taking itself completely seriously despite the seriously challenging gameplay at times, Aaaaa! is a great indie game that goes outside the mainstream gaming genre, possessing a “now for something completely different” attitude with matching Monty Python-esque humor.

AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! -- A Reckless Disregard for Gravity's is a game reliant on skill. You'll either have a blast, whooping with delight as you skim buildings and gesture rudely at people, or be majorly fed up, roaring with anger at the constant flurry of failures: it all depends on how lucky you are.

A Reckless Disregard for Gravity - AaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA… very fun, old style score attack game, for a small price!

Original, fun and funny. A demanding, adrenal pleasure that's a few critical tweaks short of true brilliance. [Dec 2009, p.104]
PC PowerPlay
A celebration of speed and movement. [Jan 2010, p.86]
LEVEL (Czech Republic)
If you are not afraid of losing a hand or leg just jump in and enjoy a free fall to its bitter end. Or use a parachute… an appetite for black humor required. [Issue#187]

tuéy k gave it a10:
A truly unique game that is fun and addictive. I didn't have much hope for this game probally because of the weird title, it came in a bundle with The Wonderful End of the World for about £6. This game ended up being the one i play most. It is a great game to have a quick go or to play for hours to try and got 5 teeth (stars) for each level, some of which are very hard. The speed you pick up can be amazing. The game runs very smooth, the graphics are good, the sound is good. Highly recommended.
T S gave it a10:
One of the funniest and most unique games I've ever played. Definitely a must buy!
Steven W gave it a10:
I have spent hours on this game, and I still think it's awesome. Reminds me of Mirror's Edge a little, but more hilariously awesome.
Jon L gave it a4:
Nicely presented, fun for about 15 minutes. Very repetitive indeed. I can't help feeling that this game gets high scores for being 'trendy'; the engine's reminiscent of the type of thing that was cutting edge back when PCs first got 3D accelerator cards.
H Durf gave it a9:
Oozing with style and character. Good for one play-through, but trying to get 5 stars on all the courses is tough. A good challenge for perfectionists. Try playing with your own music.
John C gave it a9:
Great art, physics, and concept. This game pretty mch screams indie from all the Easter eggs and developers making fun of each other in game. You can really tell that a lot of love went into the making of this game.
Garnet T gave it a9:
Very inventive idea, and a great execution. Lots of fun!
