Summary
Age of Mythology: The Titans Expansion adds a fourth mythology, the Atlanteans, to the existing Greek, Egyptian and Norse mythologies. A new single-player campaign will add yet another chapter to the franchise's expansive folklore along with the addition of new scenarios. Atlantean players will be able to call upon the might of the Titan gods (such as Atlas and Cronus) multiple times throughout the game, and may also upgrade human units to heroes. The expansion pack will introduce 12 new god powers, 15 new human units and 10 formidable myth units to the game. [Microsoft]

Play Magazine
The true stars of the game are the titans themselves. Each of the four civilizations has their own unique titan. Just watching these lumbering giants in battle is plain awesome. [Nov 2003, p.96]
Yahoo! Games
With the Titans campaign, Ensemble proves it can make a masterfully varied and well paced single-player RTS campaign, with solid storytelling overall, even if the voice acting has taken a noticeable step backward.

A beautiful compliment to the AOM saga, and this is a title that I will definitely slow down to play.

The only difference is that everything has been refined and is now even easier to use! There is a huge addition to this game that should have been in it a long time ago and it is called the repeat build button.

Challenging, fast-paced, and most importantly, fun. Ive already spent way too much time playing this game, and most RTS fans will be spending just as much time with this title as I have. Highly recommended to gamers of all stripes.

Improving an already outstanding game is a Herculean feat and Age of Mythology: The Titans has certainly succeeded.

A lot of work has been put into perfecting the graphics and sound and the whole system overall is well-balanced, although the Titan gods can be often unfair in battle as they are quite hard to take down.

With the new myth units, the awe inducing sight of the Titans and a whole new campaign to be played with, Age of Mythology The Titans is one of the best expansion packs that I have seen lately.

Something any strategy gamer shouldn't be without. [Dec 2003, p.181]

It summons into an already great game compelling storytelling elements, excellent graphical variety, solid strategy, and extremely high polish and production value.

A great add-on that gives AoM fans plenty of new toys to play with that are not only fun in their own right, but make the game they're attached to much, much better.

I had an absolute blast playing this game again. While you'll get around a dozen hours with the new single-player campaign, there are more than enough multiplayer options to keep you busy.

Despite severe unit pathfinding issues, this expansion is a must buy for anyone who owns the original.

Great mission design, Titans add nice flair, good difficulty balancing, story, polished AI.

At last, Ensemble fully capitalizes on the game's setting, and the result is most satisfying. [Holiday 2003, p.96]
Game Over Online
While the length of the single player couldve been extended, the addition of the titans as a "doomsday" weapon and the elder gods provides a creative extension to the original title.

While not innovative in any way, AOM: The Titans is everything you should expect from a quality expansion. Plenty of new stuff, but also gameplay refinements and the attention to detail that shows the developers cared about their product.

A great game at its core, and it's recommendable to any fan of Age of Mythology, particularly those who liked the idea of the game but maybe had trouble getting over the learning curve.

In some respects it's almost too easy, but if you push your luck too far you'll get your ass kicked right out from under you. There's a delicate balance that one must attain to ride the crest of glory all the way to the end.
Eurogamer
Provides just about enough to be worthy of the price of entry if you're an Age of Mythology fan. The new single-player campaign is slickly presented and a lot of fun, while the addition of the new race and the Titans themselves should give a fair bit of extra longevity to the multiplayer aspect of the game.

Unlike many expansions, Titans gives a lot of bang for the buckit's just not a very loud bang, falling short of energizing an aging game.
While the Atlanteans are cool, and its always fun to level your enemies towns with a 4-story creature, its a pretty steep price to pay.

Units flow well and are easy to differentiate from one culture to another, but theres something that keeps the quality a little below what most gamers are accustomed to with the more recent RTS titles, especially where character details are concerned.

There's enough here to warrant purchase for diehard AoM fans, but it doesn't change gameplay significantly enough to draw in audiences outside the original fanbase. [Dec 2003, p.97]

Although there's a lot of new content, it's concentrated almost solely in the Atlanteans. [Dec 2003, p.90]

Solo gave it an8:
Good expansion, with some flaws. Campaign is pretty short. The Titans are awesome looking and have great special effects, but are virtually unstoppable and really skew the balance of the game... and that gets boring after the novelty wears off. The Atlanteans are a great addition to the random games... that's the biggest strength of The Titans expansion.
Jack B. gave it a9:
This is a must-buy expansion pack, with an awsome campaign, and more gods to chose from, it is a great game. I would have hoped that Gargarinsis, Kamos and that other guy would come back, or at least be mentioned, because they were the main villians in AOM.
Carmen G. gave it a 7:
It is a good game but with few titans to choose from.
Dragon Knight of Final Fantasy gave it an 8:
Cool. It's as simple as that,it is fun yet more the same.Speaking of which the only 3 new things are new god powers new story mode(very short though) & new religon,Atlantis fun 4 a few games then some only want to play with codes.Buy it,it's good but has little replay value & may the gods be with you. P.S:Here's some cheats.Enjoy!^_^O Canada:Summon Laser Bear Pandoras Box:get random god powers Divine Intervention:Revive god powers Isis Hear my Plea:Summom all heroes (except Kastor) Wrath of the Gods:Have unlimited Storm,Meteor,Earthquake,& Tornado NOTE:ALL CODES MUST BE CAPTITALS.
Johnny G. gave it a 10:
You must besure to check this expension set out it is worth your money!!!
Hank B. gave it a 5:
While it adds a new side the game continues its sloooow tradition. Most of the time the game feels like work. Titans are cool and so is mythology - but this is a snoozer
